James Madrox (Earth-101)

James Madrox was always a bit of a prankster, which earned him a reputation during his time in the military. However, his reputation would soon go to something far greater. After his entire platoon was either dead or captured, Madrox raided an enemy fort all on his own, eliminated the hostiles, and freed the allies. He was awarded with countless medals, with everyone else unaware of how Madrox achieved such an amazing feat.

The truth was that Jamie Madrox was a mutant with the ability to duplicate himself as many times as he can physically will. Eventually, his talents became noticed by the mutant radical Magneto, who attempted to recruit him into his Brotherhood. Initially, Madrox refused.

However, it wouldn't be long until he was captured by a secret unit of the government working on the Master Mold Program. They intended to use his DNA to help mass produce their Sentinels. Before they could complete the process, Magneto and the Brotherhood arrived to rescue Jamie, and he agreed to join them, for he had grown a distaste for humanity.

Ever since then, the Multiple Man has been a valuable asset for the Brotherhood. He uses his duplicates to form an army whenever Magneto needs one, and even, in a worst case scenario, is able to act as a suicide bomber while still keeping the original copy safe.
