History[]

Origin[]

James was born into the Apache tribe back in the nineteenth century. One day, his tribe was attacked by colonists. His family was killed, and James himself was seriously injured and caught by white people. After becoming their slave, James fought in underground battles and sometimes worked in mines. He was given the name James and the surname Howlett in honor of his owner, although he was more often called Wolverine, as his tribesmen called him that. Upon reaching adulthood, James, being on the estate of his master Logan, got into a fight with him, as Logan was beating his wife. Although James won, Logan took a gun and shot the young Wolverine. However, at that moment, Logan's mutation awoke and he regenerated, and with the help of bone claws, he killed Logan and escaped with his wife, although she soon died due to a fever, and James began to wander the world as Wolverine.
