Being a superhero really changed me greatly. I was once a selfish and carefree lad who didn't give a f*ck the world. But my mutant powers made me think otherwise and I will do what it takes to protect the people I love.

Early Life
James Garrett Braddock III was a magically-enhanced mutant who had always lived life to the fullest in his youth. Born to the predominantly wealthy Braddock family in Hammersmith, London, England, James would daydream of him being in the outside world due to him being sheltered in his early childhood. Eventually, he began to take his chances in his teen years where he began performing in a rock band named Neon Pulse with a group of childhood friends and gained huge popularity performing in gigs and was well-paid. James enjoyed the adrenaline of of performing and it resulted in him having wild parties with other rock performers and having numerous groupies...mainly male groupies. In most peoples' perspectives, becoming a rock musician was considered "irresponsible" and it can lead to downfall and in the Braddock family, that was no exception.
His father, James Braddock, Jr. eventually finds out about his eldest son's lifestyle and harshly informs an ultimatum. James chose not to serve as the heir to the family fortune, leaving the money to his younger siblings -- twins Brian and Betsy, wanting to continue on with his rock star life in spite of not getting a record deal. James began touring all over Europe and soon the rest of the world, performing in their own shows and even opening for other famous musicians such as Rolling Stones and Guns N' Roses. He still kept in touch with Betsy and Brian as they took on the Braddock name as James Jr. passes away years later to natural causes, leaving the twins to take over the family fortune.
Birth of Captain Britain
James' life as a self-made celebrity had him live well on his own, already gaining millions of dollars from his energetic shows and opening acts and gaining lots of fans from all over. While touring with Guns N' Roses to open their show, James along with his band members traveled to Sokovia, settling at Novi Grad where they are set to perform but they were caught in a massive mutant genocide attack started by a group of deadly robots called the Sentinels sent by scientist Bolivar Trask who believed that mutants were a threat to humanity. Sokovia was known to having a large population of mutants living in the country and Novi Grad was the main city. James watched the robots leave bodies of both mutant and humans and he was frozen in complete fear. That is until he watched his bandmates get killed by the robots in cold blood as they tried to protect the citizens.
This brought James into rage and sorrow and it triggered the X-Gene and awakening his own powers, revealing that he himself is a mutant as well -- having the ability to project mystical bolts. With his newly found powers, James overpowered the Sentinels that detected his mutant triggering. Saving the remaining mutant race, James looked at the bodies of his fallen bandmates and decided to bury their bodies with the aid of the other victims' loved ones and held a vigil on the same day. James told the band, he was supposed to open for, about the attack and chose to perform at their next location to honor the fallen victims of the mutant genocide while James returned to England where he was greeted by his mother along with Brian and Betsy only for them to comfort him when they were told what had happened while he was on tour.
During his stay, James was approached by none other than Charles Xavier who saw him in his depressive state The elder Braddock tried to push him away because of his mourning over the loss of his bandmates to the Sentinel attack but Xavier came close to him, informing that he too is a mutant, being able to read James' thoughts, wanting to help him heal from the trauma and loss he had endured in Sokovia. Knowing that Xavier wants to help him in recovering, he opens up to the mutant. The latter informed him that he had saw him use his powers against the Sentinels and was forming a team to fill in the shoes of the well-known X-Men and James was the perfect candidate. The team was called the X-Strike where like the X-Men, had mutants from around the world. Once James joined, he ended up meeting a mutant named Wyatt Wingfoot and he two developed a sexual and romantic relationship as they got close to one another.
The X-Strike
In the wake of the Sokovia Mutant Genocide, James retires from the music business and made a name for himself as the member of the X-Strike under the leadership of Professor Xavier who also led the X-Men. Being a mutant superhero, at the time, was all new to James and he didn't have the experience in protecting mutantkind from the prejudice of humans but the memories of his friends being killed by the Sentinels encouraged him to embrace his new mutant heritage and master his new powers under the guidance of veteran mutants such as Wolverine and Beast, unlocking new powers that he didn't know he had. As he was recovering from his loss, James formed a bond between his fellow X-Strike members as well as having a father-figure relationship with Professor X, a relationship that he had never had with his birth father before his death.
Defender of Britain

After being in the X-Strike for years, followed by a fall-out with Wyatt leading to their breakup, James left the X-Strike and returns to England where he is informed that Brian had been affiliated with the European Defense Initiative or E.D.I. fighting as Captain Britain as a homage to the famous Super-Soldier, Captain America. The E.D.I. had a tight-knit alliance with S.H.I.E.L.D and they were fighting against HYDRA who had resurfaced after the return of Red Skull after he mysteriously disappeared and resumed in ruling the Earth, starting with Britain after failing to attack the United States. James didn't realize how dangerous HYDRA was but with his younger brother by his side, he battled criminals linked to the terrorist group as well as superpowered villains. However, in the midst of the battle, Brian got involved in a battle with Crossbones, resulting in him being killed in flurry of gunfire in front of James and it took him back to what had happened to his friends back in Sokovia and he flew into a rage, much to the HYDRA agent's shock and James nearly beat him to a pulp until he was restrained by Professor X who showed up with the X-Men to fight the HYDRA. Following HYDRA's defeat, a funeral was held for Brian as friends, relatives, and his fiancé of the time Meggan Puceanu attended to bid farewell to the hero who protected Britain. Since then, James chose to take on the Captain Britain mantle to keep his memory of his brother alive and to show his pride for Britain.
The Chitauri Invasion
James was soon informed that Hela Freyrdottir , the sister of Frigga and aunt of Thor Odinson had made an alliance with the The Other a servant to genocidal warlord Thanos who is in pursuit of mysterious gems called the Infinity Stones that are said to be the most powerful in the universe, and she wanted to gain control of humanity. Hela ends up attacking London with her Chitauri army, James engages in battle with the dark Asgardian but realizes it was easier said than done. Hela overpowers James and before the she and the Chitauri were about to defeat him, James was met by Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fury informs about the invasion of the Chitauri because S.H.I.E.L.D. was protecting a cosmic artifact called the Tesseract which had one of the Infinity Stones called the Space Stone. Fury had recruited the heroes as part of the project called Operation Avengers and recruited James to become part of it. James accepted the offer, but at the time he joined, he noticed that most of the heroes were having a little bad blood with each other and that made him uncomfortable. But following the death of a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson, the heroes soon start working together as a team, and they end up defeating Hela and the Chitauri. Following her defeat, James ends up falling in love with Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, starting a romantic bond with him as they start to get to know one another and confessed their feelings.
Infinity War
Three years since the battle against Chitauri invasion and James remained in the Avengers and his relationship with Spider-Man aka Peter Parker had skyrocketed becoming official with one another. One day James takes Peter to the Central Park Zoo on a date, telling about the future planned for them and he shares a passionate kiss until he and Peter were approached by Doctor Stephen Strange and his partner Wong along with Thor where they explain to him about Thanos coming to Earth to retrieve the Infinity Stones, particularly the the Time and Mind Stone. Thor told Peter that Thanos had taken the Space Stone that was sealed inside of the Tesseract and has murdered his brother Loki who tried to take it back. Suddenly, James and the rest noticed an ominous ring-like spacecraft floating in the air. The ship was the Q-Ship where Thanos' subordinate Ebony Maw and one of his children Cull Obsidian finds them. With Peter by his side, James confronts the two invaders but Maw abducts Strange forcing him to go after the abductor. He hitches onto the Q-Ship where Maw didn't see him nor Peter get on and they managed to rescue Strange and soon after he was joined by the Guardians of the Galaxy.
James later confronts Thanos as it was revealed that Titan was his home planet and major battle ensued between him and the Avengers. He tried to take the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos but failed. After nearly killing him, Thanos succeeds in taking the Time Stone and teleporting to Earth. Once all of the Infinity Stones were completely retrieved, Thanos performed the Snap and James noticed that Peter was getting weak and he tries to hug the webslinger, only for him to turn to dust in front of the English mutant, leaving him to cry out in agony and heartbreak, his powers destroying everything in his path before he was subdued by Strange, comforting the mourning Captain Britain as Peter, his partner, friend, and love of his life fade into obscurity as Thanos claims victory over the war.

Captain Britain (Infinity War)
Five years had passed and James had went back to London where he kept himself in isolation. Losing Peter caused him to go into a deep depression and he had locked himself away from the public and to make matters worse, his sister had also fell victim to the Snap. He was eventually found by Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel and was convinced that there was hope in reversing the Snap. At first, James refused due the emotional drain put on him from losing his loved ones from his bandmates to his siblings and Peter. Eventually, he came to his senses when he realized that he had made a promise to Brian who died in the hands of HYDRA and takes the chance in reversing the damage Thanos had done. He joined the rest of the Avengers where he travelled to the time of when he was in the X-Strike, retrieving the Soul Stone before HYDRA attacked London. When the Avengers returned to the present, James gave the Space Stone to Bruce Banner who had created the Nano Infinity Gauntlet and uses it to reverse the Snap.
In the wake of the Battle for the Universe, all of the restored Avengers, and other heroes as well as mutant teams, the X-Men and the X Strike. Steve and Bucky led the fight against Thanos and his army and was joined by Carol who destroyed the warships along with James who had reunited with Peter after the Snap reversal. Thanos eventually seizes the Gauntlet from Danvers, but the Infinity Stones were stolen by Steve which created another Gauntlet for him and uses them to defeat Thanos and his army. But due to the Gamma Radiation, Steve was left fatally wounded both inside and out and peacefully dies in front of the heroes. James attended Steve's funeral and stood beside Peter, giving him as much comfort as he watches the heroes, including Bucky bury the Super-Soldier beside his parents, knowing that they had won the war. Following the service, James chose to move back to London and offers Peter to come with him. The latter agrees, deciding that his heroism in New York has finally accomplished and leaves America with the mutant as a start of a new chapter of their relationship.
The Future
A few years had passed since the Infinity War and the death of Steve Rogers, James introduced London to Peter although most of the Londoners knew who the webslinger was and they welcomed him in open arms. He and Peter became a dynamic duo that was a force to be reckoned with as the crime rate in London began to rise, not to mention meeting other superpowered villains and mutants that tried to terrorize the city which hit home for the wallcrawler. One day, James finally mustered up the courage to get down on one knee, and presents Peter with a beautiful diamond engagement ring with the question: "Peter Parker, will you marry me?". Peter becomes emotional and accepts the proposal, earning a large applause from the crowd and the two finally married at Syon Park where the remaining Avengers, X-Men, and agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., including Fury attended to show their acclamation to the new married couple. Following their wedding and their honeymoon, James and Peter continued their lives as a heroic duo until they finally retired to settle down and decided to start a family. They welcomed their first child, a son named Jason "Jayce" Braddock through surrogacy who later develops his father's (Peter's) powers and becomes Spider-UK the defender of London.
