Jackson Brice (Earth-101)

Jackson Brice was a small time thug working under the Kingpin. He was the leader of a crew called the Enforcers, but after they were beaten and arrested by Spider-Man, Jackson was barely able to escape.

During a consultation with the Kingpin, he offered Jackson a chance to get revenge on Spider-Man. His assistant, Alistair Smythe, has been developed a suit capable of emitting and absorbing shockwaves, which was sure to give Spider-Man a challenge.

Jackson accepted the offer and was dubbed the Shocker. His goal was to draw Spider-Man out into the open by robbing banks so that he could take him on and hopefully kill him. Their first battle went very well for the Shocker, his vibro-gauntlets even managed to fracture Spider-Man’s arm, but he was able to escape before Shocker could finish the job.

Their next confrontation, however, resulted in Spider-Man using the Shocker suit against him, managing to rip off the gauntlets and his mask, knocking him unconscious. When Brice woke up, he was being escorted to the Raft. He was offered a chance at amnesty if he ratted out the Kingpin, but he refused.

His loyalty would result in him eventually being freed from the Raft and outfitted with a modified Shocker suit. Since his escape, he was continuously proved to be a thorn in Spider-Man’s side, even often teaming up with some of his other foes, most notably the Rhino, who Shocker actually developed a friendship with.
