Iron Fist and Power Man: Heroes For Hire is a Disney+ original miniseries based off of the comics and character(s) of the same name and the eleventh entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - MAX Phase 3. It is the spiritual continuation of the Netflix original series Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

Synopsis[]

After Harlem's Paradise is demolished in a random act of gang violence, Luke Cage finds the community coming to his aid for a change. Simultaneously, Rand Enterprises' recent financial troubles result in a large default, with the debt holder being a company with former ties to Ulysses Klaue's organization. With both men in financial dire straits, international man of mystery Dominic Fortune approaches them to lend a hand, but only if they'll take a job for him: Hunt down and bring the resurfaced Frank Payne to justice, wherever he is. Thus the two "heroes for hire" set out on a globe-trotting chase, knowing little of the wide-spanning mess they're about to get involved in...

Cast and Characters[]

Main Cast[]

  • Mike Colter as Carl Lucas / Luke Cage
A former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who owns the popular "Harlem's Paradise" club and fights crime in Harlem on the side. For the first time in his life, he'll need to leave the relative familiarity of New York on a chase around the world for Frank Payne.
  • Ryan Higa as Danny Rand / Iron Fist
A billionaire monk, co-CEO of Rand Enterprises, and martial arts expert with the ability to call upon the mystical power of the Immortal Iron Fist (and tell everyone about it). Despite his at-times immaturity, Danny looks forward to another rumble with Luke Cage by his side, whom he considers a brother.
The character was previously portrayed by Finn Jones.
  • Toby Stephens as Frank Payne
A dangerous arms dealer and former associate of Ulysses Klaue who was brought to justice at the hands of Daisy Johnson and Lance Alvers. He has since been freed by an organization called "the Nail" to work for them. In battle, he uses a vibranium "constrictor armor", retrofitted from an old Wakandan mining suit, housed in an implant on his back.
  • Bob Morley as Lance Alvers / Avalanche
A mutant with the power to create powerful vibrations. Having fought Payne in the past, he is the best lead Luke and Danny have and reluctantly helps them despite his reputation as a loner.
  • Delroy Lindo as Dominic Fortune
A former "adventurer" who now works as a fixer and broker. He is once again finding himself having to deal with Frank Payne.
  • Simone Missick as Misty Knight
A Harlem police detective with a powerful bionic arm and an old ally of Cage's. Recognizing that Luke and Danny might be way in over their heads with this one, she tags along on their travels, lending her impressive skill set to them.
  • Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum
Danny childhood-friend-turned-enemy-turned-friend again and a powerful player at Rand Enterprises. He has been travelling with Danny all over the world in their search for Orson Randall, and is aware of Payne's deadly reputation.

Recurring Cast[]

  • Alice Eve as "Bloody" Mary Walker

  • Miki Maya as Azumi
The true leader of the Nail, an organization that picked up the pieces left behind by the Hand.
  • Florence Kasumba as Ayo

The last surviving Finger of the Hand. Long thought dead, she is kept alive as Azumi's "trophy", their animosity dating back centuries.
  • Pip Torrens as Tony Masters / Contingency
A member of the clandestine organization O.G.R.E., he is in fact a freelance double agent, working for the highest bidder, whether they be friend or foe. Despite his ripe old age, he is an exceptionally deadly adversary with the ability to perfectly copy any skill and discipline by simply seeing it once.
