Life and Death
Irene Adler was born in Salzburg, Austria and realised from an early age that she was a mutant when her dreams began coming true. Blessed with the power of precognition Destiny's powers continued to grow, she went from seeing visions of a few days time to years and decades in the future by the time she was 16 and recorded all of them in her diaries.
At some point Destiny met the mutant shapeshifter Mystique, who she fell in love with. The two would build a life for themselves, travelling around the world and having a daughter, Anna Marie. They would live openly as a family until Anna Marie was 14 and her mutant powers to absorb memories, life force and powers from others manifested, resulting in her inadvertently killing a teenage boy. Mystique and Destiny would take their daughter with them as they went on the run to protect her, and would do so successfully until they drew the attention of William Stryker, who was working with the United States government on a plan to deal with the mutant 'threat'.
Hunted by Stryker and Project Wideawake, Mystique and Destiny would seek protection for her daughter with a man Mystique had met years ago, Charles Xavier, and his team, the X-Men. Stryker's forces would attack the mansion however and Destiny would sacrifice her life to save her daughters, being shot multiple times in the chest. As she lay dying she revealed to Mystique that this was always going to happen and that she had seen her death years prior, but that there was no changing it as it was the only way to save Anna Marie. In her dying moments she begged Mystique not to go down the path of revenge, knowing the pain it would cause her, but Mystique could not heed her words and would eventually get revenge for Destiny's death, murdering Stryker.
