History
Not much of his history has been revealed. What is known is that he has an insatiable curiosity and has been known to dabble with devices he shouldn't dabble with. This became quite obvious after an invention of his, the Alphaship, exploded giving him and four teenagers powers.
Robert is a resourceful individual though and managed to keep his job despite destroying the laboratory with that explosion. He played the major role of covering up the incident so that he and the teenagers new powers remained a secret. With help from his best friend, Doctor Travis Ridgeway, he set up a private eye business as a cover for him and his new teenage allies and their crimefighting adventures. He does not get very involved personally with his allies and does not fully understand the emotional issues they are dealing with. But he is a successful leader because of his ability to manage all practical concerns with running a successful crimefighting organization.
Because his powers work the way they work, Image Caster often acts as more of a support person for the rest of the team. He rarely gets into the battle itself but he keeps the communication and supply lines open so that team members can help each other out.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
He has power over light and sound and vision and hearing.
- Light and Sound: He can cast illusions and he can shoot bolts of light and or sound.
- Illusions: He can cause illusions that are very convincing. His illusions cannot fool the senses of smell, taste or touch but because he has both light and sound, it is rare for anyone to realize that it is just an illusion. He has such fine control over light and sound that his illusions can even be filmed and look and sound completely real.
- Bolts of Light or Sound: The bolts of light and sound he generates are not powerful. He has more control than he has power. But his bolts are strong enough to stun people into unconsciousness or temporarily blind or deafen them.
- Vision and Hearing: He has the ability to send his vision and hearing away from him so that he can see and hear what is happening miles away. The limit of his range is unknown but he did once use his vision and hearing to visit China while his body was still in New York. This power is not astral projection but it does work like astral projection in that when he is watching and listening in China, he is blind and deaf in New York.
