Prowler was a criminal Spider-Man fought. However at some point Hobie Brown turned his life around and became a hero in his own right.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales[]
Miles Morales encountered the Prowler and assumed he was his uncle Aaron Davies like in his own world until Peter Parker told him about Hobie Brown.
He later helped Peter rescue Miles and the Tinkerer.
Spider-Man 2[]
After Miles Morales lost his powers, Hobie Brown passed the mantle of the Prowler down to him.
