Hazel Walsh (Earth-616)

From a young age, Hazel was obsessed with magic, and vowed to somehow gain control of the mystical arts. She had a natural affinity to magic, and showed some talent in using it, self-teaching herself with various spell books and grimoires that she bought online. After she finished high-school, she traveled the world, hunting for magical artifacts, and each one she collected added to her powers. Although she acquired many such artifacts, she was dedicated to seeking out more. During her travels, she gained a reputation as a powerful magic user, and became known as the superhero Hex.

Eventually, she gained the attention of the Australian government, who were interested in her magical abilities. Although Hex initially turned them down when they offered her a spot on their organization, the Hero Defense League of Australia, she changed her mind when they offered her help in tracking down magical items. Though she agreed to join them, it was still somewhat reluctantly, and she was more interested n studying magical tomes and hunting down artifacts. Due to their similar interests, she struck up a friendship with Spirit, and Hex found herself fascinated with his ghostly abilities.
