Half-Life
A symbiote was found by Gamma researchers. The scientists put gamma energy in the symbiote, but it escaped. The symbiote found its way to a college and bonded to a Science professer named Anthony Lee Masterson. Due to its radioactive but vampiric nature, the symbiote began calling itself "Half-Life" He is now a general in Aether's symbiote army.
