HYDRA 1970 is a Disney+ original miniseries based off of the comics and character(s) of the same name and the tenth entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - MAX Phase 2.
Synopsis[]
Time flows differently throughout the multiverse, and on Earth-464 the year is 1970. Despite this, different versions of familiar faces still exist - including one Baron Helmut Zemo. On that hellish Earth, he is a high ranking member of HYDRA's inner circle and answers only to the Red Skull and HYDRA's mysterious "Supreme Leader." Appealing to his hatred of HYDRA and his family history with the Nazis, Nick Fury tasks prime-Earth's Zemo to pull the old switcheroo and kill his doppelganger while taking his place, embarking on the ultimate spy mission. But can the crafty and unpredictable Zemo be really trusted?

- Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo
A former Sokovian baron and black ops colonel who gained infamy for splitting the Avengers apart and successfully killing the Flag-Smashers. While he has no intention to atone for his past, he sees a common enemy in HYDRA and will stop at nothing to wipe them out completely. His family history and their tumultuous past with Nazi Germany will also be explored.
Daniel Brühl additionally plays a more comic-accurate, classical version of "evil" Baron Zemo loyal to HYDRA. - Ross Marquand as Johann Schmidt / Red Skull
The psychotic leader of HYDRA most commonly regarded as their face. A brilliant scientific genius as well as a powerful super-soldier, this version of Red Skull still answers to another, known only as the "Supreme Leader." - James Paxton as John Garrett
A happy-go-lucky agent of HYDRA who is regardless as ruthless as they come. He is Zemo's foremost lieutenant, but senses something may be off about his boss. - Lyrica Ocano as Nico Minoru
A young witch who has joined the Masters of the Mystic Arts and wields the Staff of One. Thanks to her ability to freely cross the multiverse, she jumped to Earth-464 alongside Zemo as a "HYDRA recruit" and personal steward, to act as his waypoint and informant between the two sides, and if need be, an escape plan. - Maximiliano Hernández as Jasper Sitwell
