History

Gwen Pool seemingly had a similar history as her "The Real World" counterpart. She was mysteriously displaced to a world where the fictional characters she read about were real. She decided to become a costumed super hero, where a misunderstanding with the tailor led to her to modeling herself after Deadpool.

As Gwenpool, she was targeted by the teuthidans. She dressed a pig in a replica of her costume. This momentarily distracted the aliens, as they briefly assumed they had captured Poole. After repelling the invaders, Gwenpool adopted her and named her Pig-Gwen. During a team-up with Hawkeye, they discovered a baby land shark. They decided to co-own the land shark, whom Gwen called Jeff.

Gwenpool and Pig-Gwen were among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift and recruited by War Machine into the Avengers Alliance to oppose the reality's tyrannical ruler: God Emperor Doom. Gwen was reunited with Jeff the Land Shark when he and Kate were also brought to the island.

Some of the travelers were inexplicitly found with their memories erased. The phenomenon became known as Buried Alien Syndrome. While exploring the Gutter Space to find a way off the island, Gwenpool discovered Dark Gwenpool, an evil variant of Gwen, had been using Gutter Space to steal certain people’s memories.
