Early life
George lived a pretty average childhood up until World War II, when he encountered the super hero Captain America as a young adult.
Police officer
Upon graduating from college, George became a police officer working in New York City.
Encounters With Spider-Man
Some years later, George became a police captain and was often part of cases with super-villains, almost always concerning the masked hero known as Spider-Man. Stacy was initially hesitant to the idea of a masked vigilante patrolling New York, but began to respect Spider-Man after the hero saved his life from the Scorpion.
Stacy would soon get involved in the investigation of the Green Goblin, working alongside Spider-Man to do so. After the Goblin disappeared, Stacy began to think more and more of Spider-Man, even going as far as to call him a friend.
