History[]

Early Years[]

Born to the peace-loving humanoid race known as the Zehoberei, on the planet Zen-Whoberi, Gamora Zen Whoberi Ben Titan (born March, 1978) lived a completely ordinary life with her parents and younger brother. That is until shortly after she turned 13 years old, and the Mad Titan Thanos, along with his army, came to her homeworld and began killing off half her species. Faced with this slaughter her family attempted to hide, only to be quickly found by Thanos' soldiers, the Chitauri, and dragged back out into the killings. However when this occurred Gamers fought off the soldier restraining her and then attempted to save her family. Only to be stopped by Thanos himself, who had just witnessed her actions personally. Which earned her the Mad Titans personal interest, and respect for her fierce nature. With that Gamers was taken aside by Thanos, who then quickly began explaining his philosophy to her. While his forces continued to slaughter her people, including her parents' and brother. After which Thanos took Gamora in and made her one of his "children".

But not wanting this Gamora attempted several times to run away, only to be caught and brought back to Thanos every single time. After which he would punish her by hurting innocents. Until eventually Gamora stopped fighting and started serving Thanos willingly. Once this happened he began instructing her in the ways of combat and assassination, while also using advanced technology to cybernetically augment her body and endow her with enhanced hummanoid abilities, all in an effort to turn Gamora into the living embodiment of the perfect and ultimate weapon. Though one Thanos didn't know was planning his demise. Since Gamora had sworn to one day end the Mad Titan. No matter what.

Gaining A Sister & Recognition[]

As the years went by Gamora eventually found an ally amongst Thanos' group in the form of one of his other adoptive daughters Nebula, whom Gamora grew to consider a real sister and sibling, unlike her fellow adopted siblings in the Black Order, with Nebula feeling the same way. Though their sisterly bond broke down as Thanos continually forced the two to spar, and then would " upgrade" the loser, which was Nebula each and every time. This leading her to start to resent Gamora, who let her sisters feelings go over her head as she was solely focused on surviving and killing Thanos. A task Gamora knew would be easier if she gained Thanks favor, thus she hardened her heart and carried out any task he asked of her to perfection, leading her to become his favorite child, and his favorite candidate to inherit his throne. Her actions in gaining this recognition caused Gamers to come to be known as the "deadliest woman in the galaxy" throughout the entire cosmos.

Galactic Guardian[]

Despite all she had done to gain Thanos' favor and end his life Gamora actions over the years began to heavily haunt her. So in 2011 when she was dispatched with Nebula, and the rogue Kree general and former Accuser Ronan to retrieve a powerful object known then simply as the Orb she saw it as her chance to escape. Thus she contacted Tivan of Knowhere and offered to retrieve the orb for his collection in exchange for a big pay out, to which he agreed.

Though the task Gamora set out to do became complicated as she got entangled with the Ravager outlaw Peter Quill, Rocket Racoon, and his partner Groot, leading to her being arrested by Nova Corps and being sent to Kyln prison, where the four teamed up with Drax The Destroyer to escape and make it to Knowhere, where they learned from Tivan the orb was simply a container for the Infinity Stone, the Power Stone. Soon after which it was stolen by Ronan and Nebula, who planned to use it to destroy Xandar.

Not being able to allow such another travesty on her conscience Gamora teamed up with her fellow escapees, returned to Xandar, and fought and won against Ronan and Nebula. In the aftermath of which her criminal record was expunged and she decided to atone for all the wrongs she had committed by joining her now fellow former prisoners as part of the galactic superhero team that would come to be known as the Guardians of the Galaxy.
