History
One day, I'll have those damn stones for myself, and I will make my father pay for everything he has done.

Gamora was trained by Thanos for years after he abducted her from her home planet. She gained a reputation as the deadliest woman in the galaxy, only to one day betray her father and the Black Order, going on to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.
She spent a few years alongside this ragtag band of misfits, finally feeling like she had a true family. She even fell in love with human Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord. However, when Thanos began his hunt for the Infinity Stones, Gamora rallied her team to join the Earth heroes in fighting against him. She would later regret this decision, as Star-Lord would be murdered during the final assault on the Mad Titan.
Distraught over the death of her love, Gamora exiled herself to the planet Earth in order to honor him, unaware of the fact that it would soon become ground zero for Thanos's kingdom. Seeing the planet become overrun with the Black Order's forces would eventually motivate Gamora to seek out the Resistance, which had been formed by the former Avenger Tony Stark, and has since become one of their most valuable assets due to her inside knowledge of Thanos's machinations.
