History

You know it's funny. When we started this team, 15 year old me would be ecstatic that we get to be the leaders of the Avengers. And you know, I'm not gonna act like it's not cool but...It's just not the same. You, me, Torunn, Azari, and James...we built this team. From the ground up. It became more than just a partnership, we became family. I don't know how I'm gonna cope now that their basically all gone.
Francis Barton

Francis Barton is the current Hawkeye of Earth-3116. Francis like the rest of the Avengers parent's were killed during Ultron's reign. Francis was raised with the Scavengers, as Tony wasn't able to get to him in time, as a result Francis was raised a fighter, constantly being on the run from Ultron bots, and taking over the Scavengers at a young age forced Francis to become a leader for his friends, and for his survival.

Early Years

Francis Barton was born in San Diego California in 1993 to the then couple of Barbara Morse and Clint Barton he was a product of the so-called Superhero baby boom in which many heroes had settled down to live a normal life, Francis was one of the first babies that was attributed to this.

Clint and Barbara had finally settled their on again off again relationship and got married in the year of 1991. Things were a relatively happy affair, especially after Francis was born. But 1 year later in 1994 their relationship began to enter a rocky period, and despite trying their best to salvage it, they broke things off in 1995.

The two heroes loved each other, but found it hard to be together in that way. They were a good couple before the marriage, but during it things just hadn't gone as planned. The split up while not pretty was relatively amicable. They both loved Francis and Clint had agreed to let the boy stay with Barbara and they would trade off every few weeks.

life in California with his mother was a happy point in Francis' life. He missed his father when he wasn't around, but he loved his mother dearly, so he didn't mind it too bad, especially since his father would come and spend time with him. Francis was taught by both of his parents at a young age fighting as it was clearly something he loved.

His father had outfitted him with a little bow and arrow that he used to carry around and practice with, starting his training with the weapon. Both his parents would encourage him to use it, neither knowing he would need the skill so early.

Ultron Revolution

When Ultron struck in 1998 Hawkeye, Mockingbird, and Francis were not in the city. Clint had known the Avengers had need for him and was coming to New York with Mockingbird and Francis in tow. Things got bad when they got the distress signal that they were sending the kids to the Arctic. That's when they began to understand the situation they were in.

HawkeyeNAHOT

Not knowing exactly was going on Clint had decided he would go into the city, and Barbara would watch Francis. He didn't get far before the entire city began to explode and despite being on the very edge of New York City the small family was lucky to survive. Their plane had been destroyed everything around them had been destroyed, and Ultron and his bots were still on the prowl. After defeating a few the heroes began to understand that things were dire. They couldn't leave the city with the bots all around so the two heroes did the one thing they could think to do and went underground, hoping Ultron didn't find them.

The Scavengers

When it comes to the Scavengers the knowledge of the group is wholly incomplete. While Francis has shared a lot of things that has happened, he has kept a lot of things to himself for personal reasons as this was an extremely hard time for the hero in every facet of life.

At first in the underground it was just the family of three. Francis had to quickly adjust to this new life. his parents were honest and explained to him the situation and ensured him he would get out of it alive, but he needed to do everything they said. And for Francis even at 5 he was forced to take this very seriously and so light training began mostly with his bow and arrow so he'd always have a weapon, but still he was never left alone for very long.

Whenever he was left alone it was because his parents went above ground and did their best to steal things to that survived the explosion. Foods, clothing, materials for weapons, because aside from the things they had on their bodies the heroes hadn't come with much. Eventually they would bring their first person down.

And that person had been an injured Betty Ross. Francis has inferred that she had once been able to transform, but had been depowered, before even Ultron, and it didn't seem like she was ever going to get her powers back. Still this started the close the relationship between Betty and Francis, Francis who quickly began to see the woman as a motherly figure. She wasn't able to go on missions with Clint and Barbara, so she began watching Francis.

And so Clint and Barbara would continue to go and grab people who were stuck in the city hiding from Ultron bots, and continue to help them out, bringing them to the underground so they could be safe. Eventually around 2001 the couple found Daisy Johnson. A young 7 year old girl who was in Ultra city. It was rare enough to find children when they went to search for people. But it was especially rare after Ultra city was completed in the year 2000. To find Daisy there, was nothing short of a miracle. Quickly she was integrated in the Scavengers and integrated into the little family of Clint, Barbara, Francis, and Betty.

Francis now an 8 year old, was much more than a liability. And one of the few Scavengers that could actually destroy an Ultron bot if he needed to. He was good shot with the bow and arrow, and developed quicker than other kids his age should have, courtesy of the enhancements that gave Bobbi powers. Because of this he had a big responsibility directing and moving things in the Underground. Helping out in any way he could.

Unfortunately tragedy struck late in the year. A mission between Francis, Bobbi, and Clint ended up with only the father and son duo coming back. The details of this particular story haven't ever been explained, not exactly. All that was known was that it wasn't actually Ultron who killed her, meaning it had to have been one of his bots. After this however. Clint and Francis were really never the same. Especially the younger archer. Things had to be taken very seriously. They couldn't afford to take certain liberties anymore as they just weren't strong enough. Clint was the only hero around. They could no longer have the mindset of trying to beat Ultron. Rather they needed to have the mindset to survive, and then maybe one day they would be strong enough to beat him.

In the year of 2002, Eli Bradley was found. This young duo of Eli, Francis, and Daisy gave Clint some hope that maybe one day when they were strong enough, they could manage to defeat Ultron. Despite the fact, that it was a one in a million chance as none of those three really had powers, and they certainly didn't have the resources. But they could believe anyway. This year Clint was forced to send out the trio more and more, as it seemed no one else could really get things done. And so they three became highly skilled in espionage as hiding from Ultron for so long was a feat in itself.

In the year 2003, tragedy had once again struck. On an elaborate mission that had been concocted by Clint, the archer found himself in serious danger. Francis was also on the mission, but from the little he's shared, he never would have been able to help, nor would his father let him help. So his father faced Ultron alone and of course eventually died, succumbing to the robot's immense power.

ScavengersNAHT

Francis and the Early Scavengers

It wasn't until 2005 that Francis took over the Scavengers. during the years after his father's death, Betty had taken over the organization. It had become less fighting, or intelligence gathering, and just surviving. But eventually there became a need when a plethora of Ultron bots had figured out their location. Francis had been the one to get everyone to safety, and take on the fleet using his quick wit. And from then on he took control of the Scavengers with Betty's help making sure to never get too ambitious as he had seen what the robots could do to his parents. And so the Scavengers simply laid low never staying in one spot for too long, and Francis did his best to hone his skills, as well as Daisy's, and Eli's.

In the year 2008, Francis was 15 and finally met the rest of the Avengers children. He had quickly saved their lives when Torunn, James, Azari, and Pym had went into Ultra city recklessly. Torunn had nearly died but Francis had saved her and led the others to their hideout, explaining what he knew about Ultron and why they were dumb for believing they could beat him.

The others were insistent, especially James who explained they needed to save Tony no matter what, that he really didn't have a choice and they were going to do it with or without him. Despite his early apprehension, Francis felt bad about letting them go on their own, he was also intrigued by seeing others like him for the first time in years. It wasn't like he didn't remember the others a little bit, but things had changed in the 13 or so years since he had seen them. Francis' attraction to Torunn had also played a factor in him going to help the others once again.

After saving the Inventor, Tony manages to convince Francis to help the others get the Hulk and beat Ultron. Francis is wary of helping them man who created Ultron, but after Tony explains how Clint would have helped anyway Francis decides to go. Eventually in the desert they find the Hulk and defeat Ultron. Francis was an integral part of the win as it seemed they needed everyone they could to help defeat the robot, and eventually get the peace that they lost.

The Rebuild: 2008-2009

After Ultron's defeat things didn't get easier. Right after defeating Ultron, the heroes simply went to the next city they went by, telling everyone they defeated Ultron, and then liberating the Cities to the best of their abilities. They continued to do this almost never stopping and barely giving themselves any time to rest.

Azari had made it a point to find something they could enjoy in every city that they liberated and Francis loved this very much it became something to look forward to in every city they eventually visited. At some point in time during these travels Francis and Torunn began dating. This began there constant on again off again relationship.

Francis was the one to explain to the others how influential the Scavengers could really be, explaining that they all were trained in espionage by his father or himself and that they hid in the cracks of Ultra city for years, they could be a real force for the world with a little more training. He got them moved into the Biodome and was a big part in training them further before they were trained for missions.

After liberating the entirety of America and entering Europe to help with their efforts the popularity of the Heroes of Tomorrow skyrocketed, because now people had a reason to believe they were telling the truth about defeating Ultron and people began to fight back now that they had hope. James of course was the leader of the group and it's spokesperson. But Francis was the oldest and never shy to the cameras either. He wasn't one for smiling too much however, so he had quickly been deemed the 'bad boy' in the group, and he found that he didn't mind the label much.

Eventually in 2009 the Avengers found Banner again and this allowed them to continue working but at a much faster pace as they had another scientist on board.

The Modern Age: 2010-

The Masters of Evil

In 2010 the rebuild of the world had come to a halt. There wasn't much left to rebuild, but certain things weren't going as fast as they could have.

Francis, James, and Pym found themselves in France on a mission to finish liberating the country. The are shorthanded as the rest of the Avengers are not with them, but still they make quick work of their enemy, and it shows how far the Avengers have grown since the start of this rebuild. They work with limited resources and in this instance still come out on top. They are like a well oiled machine.[1]

Despite a little bickering the Avengers do their thing and head back home to the Biodome. As they get home they are quickly briefed on their mission to the Savage Land that they've been planning for a long while, and they are also told about the fact that it seems like they are being watched, and that someone is attempting to make a play on the USA and eventually the world at large. Tony explains that the country of Madripoor is the number one suspect so they have to be on guard.

It's a new problem the team hasn't had to deal with as they haven't had any other enemy other than Ultron but they are up to the task. After the Savage Land mission went decently well the heroes decided to branch out, with James, Azari, and Torunn going to Wakanda. Pym and Banner working on solution for the smarter heroes they were looking for. And Francis, Daisy, and Eli heading out to California to deal with the problem of Crossfire who seemed to be working for the Madripoor villains.

Francis isn't quiet about not liking the way the teams are spread out, believing Torunn should be coming with him, of course James shuts this down telling him that if he did need more help than he could always take Vision, and Francis rejects this.[2]

On this mission in California the group of three quickly find themselves outmatched. Francis and the others can't defeat Crossfire. And it becomes even harder when they find out he has a partner with him in Taskmaster. Francis is the only one who stands a chance and even he has clearly lost.

However he and the others are quickly saved by what they thought to be Iron Man, but in reality was Riri in her prototype suit. She couldn't come close to beating the villains but she was able to scare them away allowing Francis, Daisy, and Eli to leave with their lives. Francis quickly invited Riri to stay at the Biodome as it was clear she was extraordinarily smart, and that was exactly what they were looking for at the moment.[3]

Back at the base James and Francis have a fight. Francis is mad at the fact that he was undermanned, and didn't have the firepower to beat Taskmaster and Crossfire, but James insists he did, he simply didn't take Vision because of his pride. Francis tells him that he only took Torunn because he likes her. James doesn't really react, but Torunn doesn't appreciate the comment and Tony has to shut things down before they get worse.[4]

Eventually everything calms down and the heroes are able to be civil long enough to deal with what they have to and that's the Masters of Evil. The heroes get ready to deal with the Crossfire and Taskmaster who are attempting to leave the country.

The fight between Crossfire and Taskmaster goes well with everyone there, until the appearance of Radioactive Man. He turns the tide of the fight long enough to give Taskmaster and Crossfire time to leave before Torunn defeats him.

Eventually the Avengers agree they need to branch out more and study opponent they had thought were dead, so they could go back to being ready for anything, like the Avengers were supposed to be. Eventually Francis apologizes to Torunn and the two share a brief moment and a kiss. Torunn tells Francis she needs time to think, and Francis is okay with that as he believes things could be worse. It's not long after they get together once again. [5]

The Avengers eventually went to Madripoor to fight the Masters of Evil after Vision systems had crashed. Francis and Azari had fought Egghead's machinations and did extremely well, but they eventually realized it was a trap and quickly left the country before more damage could be done.

Soon after getting together again, Francis and Torunn got into a big fight[6] about her going to Asgard again. He couldn't believe she was leaving so soon.

The fight quickly spiraled out of control, and was everything Torunn hoped wouldn't happen now that they were older and a little more mature, but it happened anyway, and it's presumed that couple has split up, possibly for good this time.

Francis eventually helped out Riri when she became Ironheart and officially joined the Avengers. He was a big part in helping her as he was the first person she met, so he feels like helping her is something he has to do, it has allowed them to become good friends.

When Pym told the others than Tony had kept the fact that he hadn't created Ultron a secret, Francis was one of the heroes who really didn't care, and was actually happy because that was a good thing. His original apprehension of Tony was that he got them in the mess they were in now, but that hadn't stopped him from loving and respecting the old inventor. Now that he knew that he hadn't created Ultron and that he covered for his friend to try and keep Pym happy, that just made him an even better person in his mind.[7]

Francis wasn't really for the plan to beat the Masters of Evil at the summit, as he thought it was stupid, but he helped anyways, and was an integral part in defeating the Masters of Evil for the last time at the UN Summit [8]

When Nick Fury and Daisy began explaining how they were going to start up S.H.I.E.L.D. once more, Francis was offered a job to be their highest ranking agent just like James. Like James he rejected believing it wasn't time for him to follow in his Parent's footsteps just yet, he still had a lot of life to live. [9]

Annihilation

4 Months after the Masters of Evil and situation in Latveria the Avengers find themselves with little to do and as a result Francis finds himself at an impasse for the first time in his life. Before things were obvious to him. Lead the Scavengers, fight with the Avengers, and save the world. Those are things he's done for his entire life, and now those are things he can't do any longer.

Like some of his teammates Francis found himself struggling to find what would make him content outside of fighting. When Torunn held a talk with a team about this very subject, Francis explained that he didn't know what he could do that he, James, and Pym weren't as fortunate as her and Azari, who had kingdoms to go back to and rule. For the rest of them they had to figure it out and that was hard when he never had to opportunity to stop and think about something like this before.

James agreed with this sentiment, being in the same position as Francis and Torunn and Azari explained to the both of them that now was the time to figure that out. But before the conversation could advance further, Tony alerted them to a situation in Manhattan where the Wrecking Crew was wreaking havoc.

Francis and Torunn worked together to take down Wrecker, and the other's each took down one of the other members of the Wrecking Crew. After the fight the prior conversation didn't continue but by that point Francis understood what he needed to do in regards to his future, he just wasn't sure how he was going to do it.[10]

2 weeks later the Avengers found themselves responding to reports of a robot terrorizing Manhattan. The robot was the Super-Adaptoid and he got the jump on the Avengers quickly stealing their abilities and it making himself extremely hard to fight. The X-Men's sudden appearance however had turned the tides and they managed to destroy the Adaptoid after seeing what it di to the Avengers. However the questions were still there. Where did the robot come from?[11]

While the questions were being asked Jim Hammond showed up and promised answers, explaining that Valeria had rediscovered something and that they all needed to hear what he was about to tell them. The X-Men left to their Mansion and the Avengers listened to what Jim had to say. Jim explained to them about the being they fought in the Negative Zone and how they believed the Adaptoid had been sent to Earth because of the residue Valeria found on it.

It became a situation where the Avengers began to decide whether or not it was important to go back into the Negative Zone. Francis was one of the few who believed it wasn't necessary, and that the Avengers shouldn't mess with the unknown. And that if they had just left everything alone they wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. He believed that whatever monster they were dealing with might forget the place with time.

However he was eventually overruled and out voted when James finally decided to sanction a mission to the Negative Zone. The team consisted of Torunn, Pym, Jim, Valeria, and Riri so Francis had planned to train Dani, May, and Cassie in that timeframe however unexpectedly after 2 minutes the strike team returned with information on the Negative Zone and the monster they now knew as Annihilus.

Torunn quickly explained to Francis that he needed to gather everyone as they were more than likely dealing with a cosmic level threat. After gathering everyone Torunn and the others began to explain they had one week before Annihilus brought his thousands of warships to Earth and not only destroyed their planet, but every planet in the positive universe. Unless they stopped him.[12]

This threw many into action and Francis specifically decided to spend the week with James training May, Dani, and Cassie before the plan could be executed. During the week Francis, Dani, Cassie, James, May, and Torunn had an encounter with Lyra, Bruce's daughter from the 23rd century. They fought her and lost and were doubly surprised when her mission was seemingly to get a kiss from James. Eventually everything cleared up between the groups and she joined them in their fight against Annihilus.[13]

When it came time for the plan to be enacted Francis was in charge of taking care of the ground forces in case Annihilus and his ships made it through to the positive universe. When they eventually did Francis found himself commanding some S.H.I.E.L.D. forces, some of the Iron Legion, Pym, Stature, Copycat, Spider-Girl, Colossus, No-Name, Apex, Beast, Dazzler, and even some of the older X-Men.

Despite Francis' good directions the ground forces quickly began to find themselves getting overwhelmed as at the end of the day this wasn't your everyday fight. And the others just didn't have the needed experience. However the emergence of the Hulk, Ghost Rider and the eventual return of those who ended up in the Negative Zone proved to be enough to help turn the tides in the favor of Francis' team.[14]

In the final fight Hawkeye wasn't able to help much as his arrows were not strong enough to have an effect on Annihilus and even as a distraction he found himself unable to help as much as he'd like to. However the heroes still managed to save the day.

After saving the day celebrations began to rage on, but were cut rather short as Francis watched James tell Dani that he wasn't taking his shield back and that she would become Captain America. This proved to be a shock to everyone including Dani herself and a huge status quo change for the Avengers.

James explained that he was taking a sabbatical and that Dani would take his place as Captain America. It went without saying but this meant that Francis would become the leader of the Avengers. Somewhat sadly Francis noted that things were never going to be the same again.

Afterwards the Heroes of Tomorrow with some alone time talked about how things were going to be much different now as Torunn was headed to Asgard, Azari was headed to Wakanda, and James was leaving. They tried to console Francis and Pym but the two insisted that this wouldn't and couldn't ever be the same. But were content to know that despite the distance they were still family.[15]

When these announcements were made to the media, They all learned that Francis was the new leader of the Avengers. But with all the new additions to the team the focus shifted towards them and the media began to dub this team the All-New All-Different Avengers and is excited to see this team in action. Francis however isn't sure this team is ready yet, but understands that the world needs the Avengers.[16]

Personality

It's hard...trying not to remember. I didn't have my parents for long, but I had them longer than most. I can vividly remember my Mom, and my Dad. Even when we were stuck hiding underground living in a bunker with a rocket that could have detonated at any moment...They made me feel like everything was going to be okay. They made me feel like we were gonna get out of every situation we were put in. Even when they died, it was their words that pushed me to lead the Scavengers. I don't know what Francis Barton would be without them. So I'll never forget them or their sacrifice...Never.
Hawkeye (Francis Barton)

Francis is seen as an integral part of the Avengers. He's not the most powerful or the smartest but he's a constant reminder to the team and the world about what you can do if you believe. At time he can be seen as a hot head, or a guy who just feuds with James, but it's simply because he cares. He just wants everyone to succeed.

Francis is the oldest and at time things can definitely defer to him in the public eye because that, despite the fact he's only a year older than James and Torunn.

Francis can be playful, and doesn't mind get teased or teasing the others, as he knows when it's time to take things serious and time to mess around. He's generally a serious person however because of his experiences in the Underground which he rarely talks about.

Francis is known to speak his mind which people sometimes find rude, but Francis believes is simply the truth. If you mess the mission because of emotions, or you head's not in the game he will tell you. He understands what it takes to survive in a world like this one.

Altogether Francis a good kid, one that has been through traumatizing experiences more so than the others as he had to live in the underground. This can make him seem like a person who is too serious, but he's really just a kid whose been through many life changing experiences.

Relationships

Family

HWKMCK

Clint and Barbara Morse: Francis had a great relationship with his parents as a kid despite the circumstances the family had to deal with. Living in Ultra City under Ultron's rule in the cracks of the robotic city had made them closer than ever. His parents were very protective of him, but they also understood that if he was going to survive, then he was going to need training, and so they trained him with a bow and arrow and other weapons. Francis was their for both of their deaths, but doesn't say much on the matter as it was obviously a traumatic time for him as he wasn't older than 10 years old.

OlderIronMan

Tony Stark: Tony has been a great mentor to Francis from the moment he joined with the Avengers. Unlike the other kids Francis actually spent time with his parents for a decent amount of time and because of that Tony could never really replace his parents. Still the old man has been influential in Francis' life, taking the child under his wing like the other Avengers and doing his best to make sure Francis is safe and understands how much they care for him.

Friends

JamesRogers3

James Rogers: Is one of Francis closest friends. Despite the fact that they argue, and fight, and don't always get along they do it like brothers. The two heroes quickly gained an immediate respect for one another. At first the two stepped on each others toes, as Francis was used to leading, but James was the natural leader and it was a little hard to work around that, but they quickly made it work. And while they wont always agree they will always have each other's backs.

Yellowjacket2

Henry Pym Jr: the youngest hero, Pym is like a little sibling to Francis. Unlike some of the others, Francis makes sure that the doesn't baby him, and that if Pym does something dumb or is acting too childish, he will let him know, but at the same time he cares deeply for Pym as he was big factor in convincing him to help in the first place. Now that they are the only two left of the O5 on the team, they rely on each much more than before.

Azari9

Azari Munroe: Francis and Azari's relationship came very easily. Francis didn't find it hard at all to mesh with Azari once the younger hero reached out. They would usually be the ones to find something to appreciate on the missions together, it became something both heroes looked forward to doing. They have a very good relationship, one that is almost always honest with one another.

Torunn9

Torunn Thorsdottir: Torunn and Francis have a very complicated relationship because of their constant on again off again status. The two heroes attraction for one another was instant, and it hadn't taken long for them to get together after the initial defeat of Ultron. It also hadn't taken long for them to break up and start the seemingly endless cycle. it's obvious they care for each other deeply, and they would never let their status get in between that, but it does seem like whenever they try and get together it eventually goes wrong, which disappoints them both.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Super-Human Enhancements: Due to the formula his Mother was injected with, her enhancements were passed down to Francis. While he doesn't seem to exert superhuman force, he's shown signs of enhanced agility, and a healing factor atleast 2x faster than the average human. He healed from broken ribs, and wrist in just 12 hours.

Master Archer: Barton was trained by his Father to become a master archer specializing in the use of regular bows, longbows, compound bows, and crossbows with near-perfect accuracy at a very young age. From the time he could hold a bow he was training, because of the Ultron threat. He is capable of firing multiple arrows at a single target in a few seconds, hitting multiple targets in a few quick strokes, and directly hit small targets in the greatest of distances. Barton has even been known to hit an apple in the center of it. He practices a minimum of two hours per day to keep his skills honed.

Peak Human Sight: Barton possesses extraordinary eyesight. His eyes are more acute than normal humans. His flawless sight allows him to perfectly aim his targets without even looking. His extraordinary eyesight is attributed to his father's genes, and the serum inherited from his Mother.

Peak Human Condition: Francis's bodily functions at the peak-level athlete with exceptional strength, endurance, speed, and stamina

  • Peak Human Strength: Francis's physical strength is at peak human levels. Despite not fully developing yet, Francis strength is way past the average male and approaches the Peak of Human levels
  • Peak Human Endurance: Francis exhibits high-level pain and stress tolerance.
  • Peak Human Reflexes: Although Barton's reflexes do not border on superhuman level, they are functionally superior to 98% of all normal human beings. Francis has been shown dodging Ultron lasers, and gunshots. and it's possible due to the serum in his body this will change in the future.

Expert Marksman: Francis is known as the world's most skillful and accurate archer, but he's also an excellent marksman with anything he can get his hands on throwing blades, balls, bolas, and boomerangs. He now has near-perfect precision with any aimed or thrown weapon. He can hurl objects with extreme speed and accuracy, both in direct aim and complicated rebounds/interactions.

Abilities

Expert Combatant: Francis is very close to being a Master Combatant, the only reason he isn't necessarily considered one is because of the fact that he has only mastered one form of fighting. Taking whatever he needs from other forms of combat, Francis combines them all into one fighting style that fits his constant use of a Bow and Arrow. He uses a wide array of moves that directly allow him to either fight with a Bow and Arrow in hand, or with his Bow as a melee weapon. Because he usually has a bow in hand, Francis style of combat involves his feet much more, another reason he is so agile.

Skilled Acrobat: Francis is a talented acrobat.

Weapons Proficiency: Although he is not known to use melee weapons, Barton's incredible reflexes and hand-eye coordination allow him to easily master most weapons. He also received training in swordsmanship during his youth from his Father, who was considered one of the greatest experts in sword-fighting the world has ever known. Barton is skilled with swords, knives, nunchakus, staffs,

Expert Tactician: As shown in his leadership of the Scavengers and sometimes the Avengers, Barton is a highly competent strategist, tactician, and field commander.

Skilled Spy: Hawkeye is well-versed in espionage. Having to hide right under Ultron's nose for 5+ years made Francis an expert on spying.

Talented Weapons Designer: He has crafted arrows, bows, blades, darts, throwing irons, bolas and axes and many of his own trick arrows, He talented enough that Tony Stark built him a small lab where he creates his own arrows, with whatever he wants or requires.

Paraphernalia

Equipment: Avengers Identicard
Transportation: Quinjet
Weapons: As Hawkeye, Barton possesses a custom-made bow, quick-release quiver, a number of specialty arrows and a combat knife.

Notes

  • Francis had a long standing on and off relationship with Torunn, however after their latest breakup it seems they have both decided it would be the last time they tried with each other.
  • Francis is the current leader of the Avengers something he's always wanted. However he admits that it's not the same considering most of the original team is no longer actively on the roster.
  • Francis has always been one of the more popular Avengers because of his reputation as the "Bad Boy" of the team. Something he takes much pride in. [18]
  • Francis actually enjoys teaching the younger Avengers however he forces himself to be hard on them because of the current circumstances.[19]
