Star-Lord

Jason Prescott Haddock Quill was born somewhere in Missouri to Meredith Quill and Spartoi warrior, J'Son whom he was named after. After his father left to fight against the Badoon after Quill was born, promising that he would return for both of them. During his childhood, he was raised by his mother who gave him nothing but unconditional love and exposed him to music where he developed his first passion -- dancing. On Christmas Day, his mother gave him a Walkman which he cherished to the day. But things to a dark turn when his home was attacked by the Badoon and his mother was murdered right in front of him. When the Badoon spotted him, he quickly made his escape, and before he could get killed by the Badoon, he was abducted by the Ravagers led by Yondu Udonta.

As Quill remembered, Yondu was very rough and was a force to be reckoned with due to his status as a space pirate. Seeing the fear and hurt from Quill, Yondu knew immediately that he had lost his mother to the Badoon as he began to remember the day he lost his own parents to the evil aliens. Quill was soon taken under the wing of the Ravagers until he was old enough to sail on his own. When he did leave the Ravagers, he bought a spaceship which he named the Milano which he named after his childhood crush, Alyssa Milano and he began to form his own crew which would eventually become the Guardians of the Galaxy consisting of, Rocket Racoon, Groot, and Drax the Destroyer. With the team formed, Quill dubbed himself as the "Star-Lord" and named his new crew, the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Together, the Guardians formed a tightknit bond with the sides of infighting as they traveled all over the Milky Way galaxy, fighting aliens and space criminals. Until Quill was encountered by his father, on whom he hadn't seen since he was a toddler. Quill wanted nothing to do with J'Son when he remembered the Badoon killing his mother and them nearly killing him. The Spartoi wanted to reason with Quill, but the leader of the Guardians refused to hear what he had to say and went on his way. His attention was brought when he discovers that the Badoon has attacked the Earth and it gave him flashbacks of what they did to his mother. The Guardians rush down to Earth, not long before being joined by Yondu for he also wanted payback against the Badoon for the slaying of his own parents. They engage in battle with the Badoon, eventually defeating them and saving the Earth.

But this caught the attention of the Spartoi police and the Guardians were arrested under the command of J'Son. While being held in his cell, J'Son makes his second attempt in talking to Quill. Again, he refused to speak to his father, leaving the Spartoi to tell him that he will leave him to be tried in Spartax. But before his trial began, the Guardians broke out of their cells and helps Quill break free, escaping prison as a whole. Quill becomes a wanted fugitive all over the galaxy and many bounty hunters including the remaining Badoon tried to capture him. J'Son even went far by trying to break up the Guardians in order for Quill to lower the walls against him.

The Guardians soon get involved with Yon-Rogg, a corrupt Kree soldier who served the Kree Empire as well as Ronan the Accuser. Yon-Rogg nearly kills Quill but he was eventually saved by J'Son, much to the crew and Quill's shock. After J'Son treats Quill, the Spartoi chose not to look at him due to the latter not wanting anything to do with him but he did tell him that he really does love him and wouldn't try to hurt him despite the things he had put him and the Guardians through. When J'Son leaves, Quill saw J'Son's body language but he shook the feeling off. But after Yondu informs him that he should be grateful that he still has a father who wants to do right for him and he was letting his stubbornness get in the way. Taking Yondu's words, Quill meets with the Spartoi, closing the rift against one another although their amends was only the beginning of their reconciliation.

Recent years later, the Guardians teamed up with the Avengers as well as the Inhumans, New X-Men and other superheroes to take on other superpowered villains and other evil beings such as the HYDRA and even Thanos while his relationship with J'Son was slowly building up.
