Fandral is one of the most skilled swordsmen to ever be a member of the Asgardian militia. He would go on to become best friends with fellow warriors Hogun and Volstagg, and the three of them formed their own group called the Warriors Three.
The Warriors Three went on to become the trusted allies of Prince Thor, often accompanying him on missions. When he was banished to Earth, they joined Lady Sif in going to retrieve him, only to discover he has chosen to stay.
Fandral was upset to lose his friend, but was slightly excited that his biggest competition in the dating world of Asgard was now out of the picture. However, his bliss would not last forever as both he and Volstagg were slaughtered by the Goddess of Death, Hela, during her siege on Asgard.
