Early Years
Eugene "Flash" Thompson (born late December 1986) was the son of NYPD cop turned security officer Harrison Thompson and cosmetologist Rosie Thompson, the younger brother of Jesse Thompson and the older brother of Sonny Thompson. Flash and his rebellious sister Jesse were often physically and verbally abused by his alcoholic and traditionalist-minded father mainly due to Jesse's sexuality as a lesbian and Flash's incompetent performance in academics, being a crucial factor that molded Flash's own violent, bullying personality. Growing up, he became a student at Midtown Science High School in hopes that his father would approve of him in some capacity since it was still a sci-tech school by name, although Flash still pursued becoming an esteemed athlete on campus, excelling in almost every sport the school had offered that he'd become a popular kid.
Throughout his years at Midtown, he befriended the likes of fellow jocks such as Kong McFarlane, dated several female admirers and popular girls including Liz Allan, and frequently bullied other students such as the introverted genius Peter Parker and even the future heir of Oscorp, Harry Osborn being the result of his father's irresponsible parenting.
However, the tables have karmically turned when Peter unintentionally humiliated him in front of other students, which unbeknownst to everyone that Parker had discovered his powers through a genetically-altered, radioactive spider bite which he received during a recent field trip. After Peter's uncle Ben was shot, he tried to console Peter, despite the latter's grief and aggression. Not long since then, he then becomes a big fan and admirer of the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man, and eventually forms a healthy friendship with Peter and his friends after Spider-Man had a great duel with the Green Goblin had severely devastated Midtown High.
Right after graduating college, Flash took the opportunity to explore his identity just like his sister Jesse, free from his father's abuse, constraints, and conservative views, while giving the rest of his family a form of support despite not being present at their home as he used to.
Joining The War
After joining the United States Army not longer after 9/11, Flash courageously trained and served during the Global War on Terror for years mainly commissioned and stationed in the Middle East until he earned the rank of corporal, inspired by the never-ending heroics of his idol Spider-Man. In his time as a soldier, he befriended fellow comrades Tiny McKeever and Sha Shan Nguyen, whom he both found a one-sided attraction with until the latter was unexpectedly discharged earlier than them. Still, Flash got the chance to start a secret relationship with McKeever when they were assigned as partners in several missions. Unfortunately one fateful tragic day, Flash lost his legs after saving McKeever from enemy forces strengthened by the Ten Rings around the late 2010s, during the global conflict that would be known as Ultimate War. Flash's valiant sacrifice was enough to earn him a recommendation for the Medal of Honor by the time he was honorably discharged and returned back to the United States shortly after the war, only for his relationship with McKeever to end seeing how different they perceived their futures to be after their services. McKeever initially wanted to stay by Flash's side, but the latter insisted otherwise, convincing and encouraging him to pursue his dream as a police officer for the NYPD. It all seemed like Flash was all alone, but he had to move forward on his own.
Returning Home

Flash Thompson with his symbiote
Despite being welcomed home by his friends, Flash also came home hearing an unexpected tragedy in his family, learning of his father's death at the hands of criminal enforcers (secretly working for Kingpin) during Ultimate War while protecting their family, immediately filling him with grief and guilt especially after finding his father's final letter to him, showing his plans that he wanted to reconcile and ask for his forgiveness once he got home. Despite their years of abuse, conflict, and distance from one another, Flash forgave his father in his grave, and in doing so, he would often visit it every once in a while either alone, or with some of his family, in his father's birthday or whenever Flash feels lonely.
In spite of his many personal losses and momentarily feeling of isolation, came the eventual moment of him finding with more people in his life who came to support him, old and new. This included his former comrade and once estranged friend Sha Shan Nguyen, whom Flash managed to reconnect with her when he was encouraged to see a physical therapist—who coincidentally happened to be Nguyen—in order for him to get used with his newly-attached prosthetic legs. Furthermore on a very day he never expect would come, Flash was given a fateful chance to get back into a life of service towards peace and justice when he momentarily bonded with the lost Venom symbiote in a mission to investigate the unethical and morally-corrupted Life Foundation, which led him into learning about the history of the symbiotes, eventually turning him into a major ally of Spider-Man, finally overjoyed after finding out out his secret identity as his old friend Peter Parker, and crossing paths with the latter's on-again, off-again enemy turned situational ally Eddie Brock, the original host of the Venom symbiote.
Brand New Day
Along with other symbiote-using vigilantes, they formed the Symbiote Task Force to fight the symbiote collective's hellish and malevolent leadership of Carnage, and suggest to each and their own kind a better solution to survive, instead of letting the symbiotes take over the planet. Amidst the climax of the conflict, Flash separated himself from Venom in order for it to reunite with Brock in landing a finishing blow against Carnage, but thankfully, he was saved in time by Brock's white symbiote. In the aftermath of the symbiote conflict, Flash made allies with the rest of the marvelous knights across New York, such as the Defenders, and was even recruited later on by Secretary of State Thunderbolt Ross into the government-sanctioned Thunderbolts, joining the covert team for a while using the appropriate codename of Anti-Venom, the name of his symbiote, as he worked alongside redeeming superpowered criminals who formed the team in the first place, who are now dealing with domestic and international threats discreetly.
While the symbiote had produced a construct of his legs (as long as they remained in symbiosis), he still had to disguised they as the same form of prosthesis he used to wear in public as the symbiote was deemed classified by the government and should keep it that way in exchange for Flash having the opportunity to return into a fruitful and productive life in the outside world. Spending his normal life mostly with his friend and physical therapist, his attraction to Sha Shan progressively reignited every time they meet, Flash had a warm feeling of asking her out, only to be reminded of his burdening secret life as a symbiote-based vigilante and government agent, both things which he can't easily tell her, and other than the fact they're patient and physician, respectively.

Notes
- The Anti-Venom symbiote could also make its color appear black similar to Venom's natural appearance, in which such instance often confuse others into mistaking Flash' symbiote as the original Venom, which is in Eddie Brock's possession.
- Flash often describes his first time bonding with the Anti-Venom to be "a purifying experience," mainly due to how it cleansed and rendered him immune to toxins, diseases, and almost any form of illness, albeit at the cost of some of his own stamina which makes him tired or sleepy every time he heals himself, especially from heavy and fatal injuries.
- However, completely restoring Flash's legs were out of the symbiote's capability, since the latter could only produce a construct of them as long as it remained bonding with Flash.

Trivia
- Flash became the first president of the very Spider-Man fan club that was based in New York City from 1999 until the early 2000s, only for him to reluctantly resign from the position when Spider-Man himself reminded him to study for his then-upcoming finals.
- Flash truly started exploring his sexuality after graduating high school, and came to fully embrace his bisexuality by the late 2000s, welcomed by most of his peers and family when he subtly came out.
- Interestingly, two of Flash's former flames—Tiny McKeever and Eddy Costa—were both officers for the NYPD who eventually got married and started a family, with Flash being able to attend their wedding.
- Flash helped Daredevil in fighting Kingpin, believing that he and his secret agenda may have to do with his father's death, something that was confirmed albeit not easily proven due to Fisk's connections.
- Same as his Earth-616 counterpart, this version of Flash is also the nephew of actress Lea Thompson.
