Emma Grace Summers (née Frost) is a powerful Mutant telepath and shapeshifter who, while previously in league with such villains as Thanos, later became a member of the X-Men and an educator at the Xavier Institute. She is the wife of Scott Summers and the mother of the Stepford Cuckoos.

Under the alias of the "Black Queen", Emma became a member of X-Force months after the Terrigen Bomb detonated and was one of the leaders of the X-Army during the Terrigen War.
