History
Origin
Emma Frost was born in Birmingham, England to a filthy rich family. Her parents, Winston and Hazel Frost, who are cold, ruthless, and domineering, often impose impossibly-high standards on their children while playing favourites with them. At her school, she has difficulties with her grades and proves to be a disappointment to her parents. After some time her telepathic powers begin to manifest, allowing her to read the minds of other students and get answers to the tests. Her grades gradually improve and after a while she finally gains recognition from her parents, who much to her surprise, choose her to carry on their fortune. That ignites jealousy and envy in her sisters, who work together to find a way to compromise her sister. After discovering that Emma is romantically involved with Scott Summers, one of the students she tutors, they immediately inform their father. Infuriated that his daughter is dating someone from a lower class, Winston forbids Emma from going out with Summers. Emma attempts to fight back but relents after Winston threatens to hurt her boyfriend.

- Mental Detection: The ability to sense the presence of another superhuman mutant.

- Mind Link: The ability to develop a mental link with any person which remains as a connection to that individual.
- Mind Reading: The ability to read another person's thoughts.
- Psionic Blasts: Can project psionic force bolts or blast waves which can do damage on either a physical or mental level.
- Psionic Shield: The ability to create a psychic shield for protection of herself.
- Psychic Communication: The ability to communicate with others mentally.
- Telepathic Camouflage: The ability to alter the apparent physical appearance of oneself and others by altering the perceptions of those around them.
- Telepathic and Mind Cloaking: The ability to telepathically mask her presence and the use of her abilities from being detected by other mutants and psychic entities.
- Telepathic Illusions: The ability to create realistic telepathic illusions and cause people to experience events which are not actually occurring.
