Little is known about Venom's life before the Masters of Evil's attack on the S.H.I.E.L.D. USS Alpha Helicarrier. It can be assumed to be similar to his mainstream counterpart.

Venom once joined the Ultimate Alliance to battle Doctor Doom and his Masters of Evil.

It was Brock that made the Venom suit famous, and Nick Fury observed through the transition between Eddie and Gargan that the symbiote changes it's form host to host, noting Brock had smoother skin and white, less human-looking eyes. After the symbiote left him at some point, Brock has not been seen since.

Brock observed the Alliance's attack on a Maggia op several months after the Civil War, and again at the San Diego Zoo - with his former symbiote sensing him.
