Edward "Eddie" Brock, a.k.a. Venom, was a normal teenager and friend of Peter Parker, until the symbiote, a project built by Otto Octavius, bonded to him, giving him similar abilities to Spider-Man. He went on a rampage after the symbiote took control of him, but when Spider-Man defeated him, he hid in the sewers and vowed revenge. Later on, he posed as Spider-Man, but was defeated by the real Spider-Man and Dr. Strange.
