Eddie Brock bonded with the Venom symbiote following its rejection from Spider-Man. For years, they served as one of his deadliest foes, before beginning to seek redemption.
They decided to join the fight against Thanos, only for the Titan to take an interest in the symbiote. After months of torture, he realized that the two would not break their bond, so he instead opted to enhance them and brainwash them, turning Venom into one of his favorite pets, alongside Basilisk.
