Earth-6722, sometimes referred to as the Alchemy Universe is an alternate marvel reality that follows the mutant superhero Alchemy throughout his adventures in the Marvel Universe. This Earth splits continuity from Earth-616 after the original New X-Men (2001) run and picks up around the Academy X Era for the X-Men. From their on the story follows the mutant Alchemy and it shows the profound effects on the universe a mutant of his caliber can have. However the universe is still far from a one to one to the 616 Earth continuity wise. There are a few modern liberties taken with older storylines and the ages of some characters are necessarily accurate to what they might have been in the 80's or 90's. However events that happened back then mostly stayed the same, there is almost events taken away, rather it's additions that change the 6722 Universe from the canonical 616.
Alchemy is a mutant who starts off with the X-Men, however he grows into a fully fledged hero and so the story includes the Avengers, and other notable heroes and villains.
Aside from Alchemy its timeline mainly focuses on young heroes from the X-Men Training Squads like Hellion and Aero, Emma Frost also plays a large role and as time passes the series starts using older characters from the Avengers and the X-Men.
Earth-6722's earliest stories start with the origins of Alchemy who is the hero we see the world develop through, his ascension to hero is the driving force of these stories as a whole.
The world of Earth-6722 is one that has gone through a lot and and yet also hasn't experienced some of its most famous events like the Civil War and House of M. Despite being a world based on comic book events that took place in the early 2000s, the canonical in-universe timeline of current events starts in 2019.
