  • This film introduces the character of Victor Strange, Doctor Strange's estranged (no pun intended) brother, who meets his end at the hands of Blackheart after being dragged back into Stephen's life.
  • Due to no longer being in possession of the Time Stone, Strange had no idea how to defeat Dormammu this time around. In the end, it was Clea who managed to sick Mephisto and Dormammu on each other, trapping them in a pocket dimension.
  • Rachel McAdams returns as Christine Palmer, taking up the role of the Night Nurse. Initially, Strange is worried there would be turmoil between her and Clea, but the two of them actually become good friends.
