I'm not Delvadia's puppet. Nor was I ever Hobgoblin's. Despite what my moniker implies, I am very much my own man.
- —Devil-Spider
History
Devil-Spider seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart.
Devil-Spider was a criminal who bought his identity from the Hobgoblin. In exchange for the rights for this codename, he became one of the goblin's "made men." During a heist in New York City, Devil-Spider was apprehended by a Venom-possessed Superior Spider-Man.
He was deported back to Delvadia, where he agreed to become a government agent. Over time, Devil-Spider took pride in being one of his country's premier superheroes. Following a team-up with Spider-Man, the Web-Slinger recruited him into Spider-Man Incorporated.
