Early life

Davidino Giorno "Dante" Pertuz Montebello was born in Chicago, Illinois to Cecilia Pertuz and David Montebello. His parents had a severe falling out and split when he was only 8 years old and he was taken to New York with his father where he lived with him and his paternal grandmother, Donatella. He lived a pretty normal life, adjusting to the new life in New York City until the Terrigen mist began infecting the streets of New York City, and Dante, who had turned 17 at the time, was left exposed to the phenomenon. It was revealed that he was an Inhuman with the ability to manipulate and project fire. This left Dante horrified of the results as he began to accidentally burn everything past him. The phenomenon not only affected Dante, but it also affected his father, making him an Inhuman as well, with the ability to project and manipulate light energy.

He and David were both found the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. led by Nick Fury, and were taken to be examined. Dante was told that he and his father had latent Inhuman lineage and that the Terrigen Mist activated their abilities. This also brought the attention of the Royal Inhuman Family, leaders Black Bolt, and Medusa showing up at the HQ. They told Fury that they had been looking for Dante and wants to take them under their wing and train him to master his new abilities. Fury agrees without any protest, and Dante along with David was taken to Attilan, a city hidden from the public eye for the Royals' safety.

Royal Inhuman Family

Dante was introduced to the Royal Inhuman Family and began training with Black Bolt and Medusa, forming a bond with the two while he and his father began spending time training each other as their own relationship strengthened. Over time, he began to split his time in New York and Attilan, getting the proper training in mastering his powers, learning new abilities as it progressed. Dante will soon make new friends as Black Bolt and Medusa would recruit more inexperienced Inhumans such as Triton and Miss Fantastic who struggle to cope with their new powers as everyone shunned them from society, very similar how the X-Men were treated when their mutant powers surfaced, thus forming a strong alliance with the Inhumans.

Dante saw the Royal Inhumans as his family while his father as the only blood family he had due to his grandmother's passing and his estrangement towards his mother. They made him feel like someone when he didn't have anyone else to talk to besides David and he was thankful for Black Bolt and Medusa to take him in and learn how to accept his Inhuman status and his powers.

The Avengers

Dante was given the chance to fight with his favorite superhero team, the Avengers, his favorites on the team being Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Black Widow. Along the way, he meets the newest addition to the Avengers team, Hercules the son of Olympian leader, Zeus. Together, he helped the Avengers take on the HYDRA who tried to bring domination to the world, followed by other villains like the AIM and even the Mandarin.

While fighting with the Avengers, he and Hercules became very close with one another, the demigod fighting alongside the Inhuman. They eventually fall in love and they start a romantic relationship, earning the blessing from Zeus.
