Backstory

Appearance

Dante Daniels oc

Dante Daniels

Dante is a handsome young man, with a medium brown skin tone. He has short, curly hair, and stormy green eyes. He also has a mischievous, sarcastic smile that makes him look like a troublemaker. He doesn't seem to know it or may simply refuse to acknowledge it, but a great number of people find him attractive. He was complimented by Laura Kinney, who when making fun of him said "At least you're good looking." His face was proud and confidant but always looked a little sad, and he had a brooding look that labelled him a rebel in the eyes of others. Before becoming Spider-Man, Dante had an average build for a fifteen year old boy, physically fit but unremarkable. After his transformation, he becomes very fit, muscular, and lean.

Personality

Dante is described as laid-back and a smart alack. He’s sarcastic, cool, and sometimes too smart for his own good. He is a nice guy at heart who is caring and very empathetic, but he is also smart-alack young man, with a lightning-fast wit and a sarcastic, blunt sense of humor. He is often making jokes at to lighten the mood sometimes even at his friends expense. However he is also a brave and heroic soul who will do anything to protect those he cares for and sometimes even a complete stranger or even an enemy if need be.

Dante is an incredibly intelligent young man with a penchant for science and technology. He built his own working computer out of spare parts he found in the dumpster, his Web-Shooters, various mods to his Spider-Suit, as well as many other gadgets to help him in his crime fighting duties. His main interest seems to be technology as he also an expert hacker, able to hack into even the extremely well defended Stark Industries at only 17.

One of Dante's most prominent traits is his sense of humor. He at times is seen as the class clown in every group he is in, making his friends and teachers laugh. Even in the face of certain death, Spider-Man will usually crack a joke, to the annoyance of both friends and foes. He has various reasons for this: either he wants to relieve the stress of a situation, or simply because he wants to hide how scared he really is during a crisis. He constantly quips at his opponents to get on their nerves since he knows that if they are angry, they would be more prone to recklessness. However, when someone else's life is in danger, he will stop telling jokes and take the current situation very seriously.

Dante has also shown signs of clinical depression, stemming from childhood trauma as he has gone through quite a lot in his young life.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Spider Physiology: Dante possesses the proportionate powers of a spider, granted to him after being bitten by radioactive genetically modified spider created by Dr. Curt Connors. The radioactive, complex mutagenic enzymes in the spider's blood that were transferred at the time of the bite triggered numerous mutagenic changes within Dante, granting him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous spider-like powers.

  • Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man possesses superhuman levels of physical strength that enables him to perform feats that are impossible for normal humans. Even as a fourteen year old kid he was able to stop a speeding car with his bare hands that was going over 70 miles an hour without any injury to himself and his strength dramatically improves with age and training. In his fight with Vulture he was able to lift a 3 ton wrecking ball that was about to fall on some civilians and punch Tombstone's armored truck so hard that it was sent back several feat despite going well over a hundred miles an hour. Originally Dante had much difficulty controlling his newfound strength, causing him to accidentally break his faucet while trying to brush his teeth and push a bully back several feet, cracking one of his ribs. He has to consciously make sure he pulls his punches when fighting normal humans for risk of seriously injuring them and can only let loose when fighting others with superhuman durability. His immense strength also extends to his legs as he can leap several stories in the air in a single jump and when angered ran so hard his feet left holes in concrete and leg pressed 10,000 pounds of rubble to help civilians escape. He managed to stop a derailed train from hitting a building and when Venom threatened Laura Kinney's life Spider-Man was able to overpower and defeat him easily.
  • Superhuman Speed: Dante has superhuman levels of speed surpassing even the highest tier olympic athletes. Despite prefering to travel via his web shooters, Spider-Man is fast enough to catch up to a speeding car while on foot and when angered and out of webs was able to run over 200 miles an hour, moving so fast that he appeared as a blur to even Venom.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Man has incredible levels of stamina to the point where he can go several days without sleeping or eating. When cornered by Kingpin's gang he fought over 300 of them for several hours without getting tired while sustaining multiple injuries from his fight with his Fisk himself. He held up 10,000 pounds of rubble for hours before a rescue team arrived to save some civilians.
  • Superhuman Durability and Endurance: Spider-Man's body is significantly more resilient and durable than the average human, able to withstand most types of injury while being relatively unharmed. He's able to take head on attacks from the likes of a charging Rhino, Herman Shultz's vibrational shock waves, and multiple slashes from the Lizard. Dante has been thrown into objects more times than he can count, regularly crashing through walls, vehicles, floors etc; during a fight with Venom the symbiote punched him through a reinforced steel wall and Dante left with only minor back pains. His most impressive feat would be getting hit by a bullet train, before stopping it in its tracks; the impact made him shatter the bones in his arms, ribs, and legs but once the train was stopped he managed to walk away before losing consciousness.
  • Superhuman Agility: Dante's agility, balance and bodily coordination are all enhanced to high levels way beyond the peak of human potential. His bones, muscles and joints are twice as elastic than the average human which, combined with his great strength, allows him to jump great distances and heights and perform graceful acrobatic maneuvers with no difficulty whatsoever.
  • Superhuman Equilibrium: Spider-Man possesses a rapidly magnified sense of physiological balance, refining his equipoise and stability. He is able to achieve a state of balance on virtually any point, no matter how small or unstable with incredible ease and masterful adjustment.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Thanks to his inhuman agility and speed, Dante's reflexes are similarly augmented 50 times greater than the average human. He has shown to be able to react to projectiles such as bullets and missiles with ease and dodge attacks from superhuman individuals such as Scorpion and Lizard. While fighting Electro he managed to dodge several of his electrical attacks and even managed to dodge a lightning bolt from the sky called down by Electro. He even managed to react to and avoid multiple attacks from Quicksilver.
  • Wall-Crawling:
  • Spider-Sense:
  • Bio-Electrokinesis:
