Daniella Athena Jade “DJ” Jones-Watson is the step-sister of Michelle Jones-Watson, is a former student at Midtown School of Science and Technology, a former student of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the The Juilliard School, and the current leader of the Young Avengers, as well as being a leader of the main Avengers team. Having lost her entire family in a hurricane, Daniella moved to Lake Charles, Louisana, to Houston, Texas, and eventually New York City, where she was eventually adopted by Michelle and her family. Then, she stumbled across Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff, and she eventually become Romanoff’s mentee, training with her for an inital year, followed by two years of observance, before she was officially made a member of the team.
Following the Avengers Civil War, and Romanoff’s betrayal, Jones chose to remain with the Avengers and not go on the run, which resulted in Jones earning a lot more respect from Tony Stark, who two months after the Avengers Civil War, gifted her with the Iron Widow Mark I Armor, designed to have features that would be considered favorable to the heir apparent to the mantle of Black Widow, while also giving it features signature to him. After being given this suit, Jones was on a trip to the Decathlon Nationals in Washington D.C., with Michelle, Tony's mentee Peter Parker, and the other members of the Midtown School of Science and Technology decathlon team, when suddenly, a Chitauri Energy Core exploded inside an elevator at the Washington Monument, forcing Jones into action and to team up with Parker in order to save their families, without her suit that she left at home. They were successful in their efforts, with many back home at Midtown School of Science and Technology and the surrounding area praising their efforts.
After returning from a field trip with Parker, Michelle, and other Midtown School of Science and Technology students, Jones follows and assists Parker with helping the Avengers thwart the attempts by Thanos and his Black Order to obtain all of the Infinity Stones. Eventually, Jones gets in contact with King T'Challa and the Wakandans, who eventually receive a visit from members of Team Cap, including Romanoff, who Jones hasn't seen in a while. Jones then participates in the Battle of Wakanda, which ultimately results in Thanos acquiring the final stone he needed, the Mind Stone, and shortly thereafter he performs The Snap, which erases half of all life in the universe, including Michelle and her entire step-family.
Battered, beaten, and extremely heartbroken at the lost of her step-family, Jones resorted to temporarily giving up her status as an Avenger, in favor of finishing her education with Midtown School of Science and Technology, which eventually led her to being accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the Fall 2018 term, where she studied for a year before transferring to The Juilliard School, to pursue her true passion in music and acting, eventually receiving a Bachelor's degree in both Music Composition and Acting. Despite urges to pursue her dream job, Jones elected to get a job at the Midtown School of Science and Technology, as a music instructor and assistant, beginning for the 2022-2023 school year, in hopes that, somehow, Michelle would come back, for she was all that Jones had left. Then, in October 2023, she is approached by Steve Rogers to come back to the Avengers Compound, to help comfort Romanoff, her mentor and teacher. They are then met by Scott Lang, who approaches Rogers, Romanoff, and Jones, about an idea to go back and undo what Thanos did. Eventually, the Avengers put together a plan which results in The Time Heist, a plan to go back in time and collect the Infinity Stones and make their own gauntlet so that they could undo what Thanos did. Their plan was successful, but it came at the cost of the life of Romanoff, who Jones held as dear to her heart as she did Michelle. Despite truly having no one left, Jones remains committed to getting the job done. Eventually, a new gauntlet was created and the Snap was reversed. As Jones went to call her now revived step-sister, the 2014 Thanos destroyed the Avengers Compound, leading to the Battle of Earth, of which Jones was a major player in the victory for the Avengers. Despite being stabbed severely in the leg and not having pain stimulation technology in her suit to ease the pain, she was able to power on and lead the charge to defeat Thanos once and for all, before Tony Stark made the ultimate sacrifice in order to fully avenge the actions taken by 2023 Thanos. With that, and after the stones were returned to where they were supposed to, Tony Stark & Natasha Romanoff are dead, Steve Rogers & Clint Barton are all but retired, Thor & Bruce Banner are off doing their own thing, and the Avengers didn’t have a plan of leadership. That was until Jones stepped up to the plate, and started to push herself and put herself in the position to be at the top, now that the oppourtunity presented itself.
Biography[]
New Orleans & The Move To New York[]
Jones was born Daniel Wayne Johnson to Selena Johnson, a well-respected nurse, and Donald Johnson, a widely-known businessman, on January 13th, 2001, in New Orleans, Louisana. Despite their best efforts to give him the best childhood that they could, Johnson was subjected to bullying, particularly when it came for his love of music and entertainment. He would often be called a nerd and be picked on for it non-stop, week in and week out. Despite this happening and suggestions from his parents to pull him out of traditional schooling, Johnson pressed on and declined their suggestions, earning respect from them and from many within the surrounding community. Throughout his life, Johnson did a lot of things that, he would at least consider, to be stereotypical feminine. He would grow his hair out longer. At the request of his sister Sienna, who needed some help with a project, even crossdressed and wore dresses and such on ocassion. Doing all of this made Johnson over a multi-year period realize that there was something missing. While trying to discover who he was, he was separated from his parents while on vacation in New York City during the Battle of New York in 2012. He was about to be killed by falling debris, until he was rescused by the Black Widow herself, Natasha Romanoff. Romanoff quickly helped him back to his parents, before rejoining the battle with the other Avengers. A year later, in Spring 2013, he came out to his parents as a trans girl, and he formally begin a process to transition. Shortly after his 13th birthday on January 13th, 2014, this transition was complete, and after this happened, he changed his name to Daniella Wayne Johnson. Finally, Daniella felt happy with herself, and was excited to openly express herself in a way that she hadn't been able to before.
Several months later, in July of 2014, a Category 4 hurricane, Hurricane Maddie, ravaged through New Orleans, causing death and destruction along the way. Johnson and her family were caught in the middle, despite a mandatory evacuation order being in place, which ultimately resulted in disaster, as their house was being blown to bits, with everyone, except Johnson, being caught under some form of debris. Despite wanting to stay to recuse them all, her family encouraged her to save herself while she still could, and as she got in the car and drove away, she could hear the house collapsing behind her, sealing the fates of her family. After getting out of the state and being able to sell the car to someone who needed it the most, Johnson was in Lake Charles, Louisana, where she remained for several months, before in early December of 2014 she put out an open plea on social media, getting the attention of Michelle Jones-Watson, who offered her to not only come stay with her family, but also to be adopted by them and accepted as one of their own. Soon thereafter, Johnson changed her last name, to Jones-Watson, to reflect her new adoptive family, while also changing her middle name to Jade to honor something that was of value to her mother, now giving her the name of Daniella Jade Jones-Watson.
After making her way to New York City and getting settled in with her new family, upon going on a walk, Jones (she never went by Jones-Watson despite that being her new full last name), by mistake, discovered the location of the Avengers Compound, home to the Avengers, who she has looked up to for years. Not interested in turning around, and more interested in seeing her Avengers heroes up close and personal, and maybe looking for a chance to see her idol, Jones snuck her way onto the Compound, bypassing the security measures in place, and finding a nice hill to watch Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff training inside. Soon after, she is spotted by Maximoff, who points her out to Romanoff, and she is soon invited inside. Romanoff is impressed with Jones' skills, so much so that she offers her the oppourtunity to train with her, which Jones happily accepts. For the next year, Romanoff trains jones in every fighting form she knows.

The Infinity War[]
Post-Snap Trauma[]
With no sign of things turning around for the better, Jones temporarily resigned as a member of the Avengers (though she hung on to her Iron Widow Mark I Armor), opting to put her focus into finishing her high school education and getting a college education. She finished her high school education and graduated one year after The Snap, in the graduating Class of 2019. While in her senior year of high school, Jones applied to, and got accepted into, several schools, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which she chose to attend for the 2019-2020 school year. Despite being on the top of her class academically, and being well-respected in the student community, Jones felt lost, and experienced several instances of PTSD, in regards to the failed Battle of Wakanda, and the death of Michelle. After seeing a specialist in the Spring of 2020, she realizes that she's, in part, at MIT because of how Michelle talked about it being her dream school. She needs to distance herself, because at that moment, she realizes that she needs to start separating herself from Michelle, since there's a chance that she may never return. As a result, she applied to transfer to several of her own dream schools, including The Juilliard School, which she eventually ended up going to beginning for the Fall 2020 term, to begin pursuing her passion for music and acting. This dream would be realized, as Daniella officially graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition & Acting after the Spring 2023 semester. She started using her degree by beginning to write, produce, and release her own songs, to much success, throughout the Summer of 2023. After applying for several music-related jobs throughout the summer while working on those songs, she elected to return to Midtown School of Science and Technology, as a Music Instructor. Though she had an opportunity to have a dream job being a music mentor for one of the biggest music labels in the country, she elected to go back to her high school alma mater, in case Michelle somehow were to come back, though that was getting more unlikely by the day. Then, a month later, she’s invited back to the compound that started her hero journey, where unknowingly to her at the time would lead her to bringing back the one person that she was hoping what could back, sooner than later, and also unknowingly to her, this would lead to the biggest battle of her hero life…
The Battle To Get Them All Back[]
The Avengers & S.W.O.R.D.[]
After bringing half of all life in the universe was brought back and Thanos and his army was defeated, the various members of the Avengers went about their separate ways, at least for now, and Jones was no exception. Though her primary mission would be, at some point, to keep the Avengers unified, for that is what she believed Tony & Natasha would want out of her, now was not the time. Her goal was to continue being a hero, even if she was hurting mentally and even if it had to be in a more independent setting. She started going around New York City, helping wherever she can. After continuing on this path of doing good, however big or small, for the first two weeks after the events of Avengers Endgame, she once again caught the attention of S.W.O.R.D., and their acting director Tyler Hayward. Hayward had previously approached Jones about being his acting second-in-command after the death of Maria Rambeau in 2020, but Jones respectfully declined, so that she could finish her education and get her degree, which Hayward respected. This time, there was nothing stopping Jones from joining. The writing was on the wall, and when Hayward approached her a second time about being his right-hand gal, she happily accepted, telling Hayward that she was feeling a calling to serve, and with the Avengers, for now, disassembled, this was the perfect opportunity to continue to serve as a hero.
