Daimon Hellstrom is a member of the Runaways, a group of super-powered teenagers who discovered their parents are part of a devil-worshipping cult known as The Pride. He and his friends, who were in the Pride with his parents, believed they were mutants and kept it secret until they realized they gained their powers from a demonic sacrifice and their parents have been raising them all this time so they can use their powers to take over the world. Daimon is one of the most powerful members of the Runaways, because he is really adopted. His mother was impregnated by a demon and she tried to get an abortion, but because of the demonic magic it didn't work. No one believed her story, except for the Hellstrom family, who adopted Daimon from her. Later on, she died when her apartment mysteriously caught on fire. The Hellstroms were really devil worshippers and this was why they adopted Daimon.
