History
Cuddtwll (Kith-toothl) is an underground village in south Wales. It is best known as the site of one of the Alchemist's many laboratories, and the birthplace of the homunculus that would become Vincent Doyle.
The events surrounding the creation of the village are unknown, but the Alchemist speculates that it was perhaps of use to a cult once. In the 1960s, the mad scientist and his associates repurposed Cuddtwll's lodgings as laboratories in which to create forced Mutants for Project Morus. After multiple failures, the Alchemist successfully endowed an albino child with umbrakinesis and codenamed him "Erebus" after the Greek primordial deity of darkness. However, the mutant child lost control of his powers during an exercise and started a fire, devastating Cuddtwll and providing cover for him to escape.
