I'm Silk. A superhero. But who am I under the... bandana? Who is Cindy Moon? That's what I'm here to find out.
- —Silk
History
Silk seemingly had a similar history as her Earth-616 counterpart.
In order to find her lost family, Cindy sought the help of Mockingbird. In exchange for her existence, she agreed to go undercover working for the crimelord Black Cat. Spider-Man attempted to recruit her into Spider-Man Incorporated, but she realized that Silk couldn't pretend to be a criminal and act as a hero.
During a mock battle with Human Torch, Cindy told him that she missed being a hero, but was determined to finish the mission. Johnny suggested she take on a second identity so she could moonlight as a vigilante. She took on the alias Silkworm and joined his Spider-Friends.
After helping Black Cat steal a prototype teleportation belt, Felicia revealed that she had figured out that Silk was a double agent. She tried to kill Cindy, and while she defeated Cindy, Mockingbird and company arrived and arrested her minions. Black Cat used the belt to escape, but not before Cindy was able to tag her with a Spider-Tracer. In the aftermath of Black Cat's arrest, Mockingbird revealed to the public that Silk had actually been working undercover. With her reputation repaired, Cindy left the role of Silkworm and joined Spider-Man Incorporated.
Returning to heroics, Silk went on a number of adventures where she teamed-up with Asian-Americas. Feeling her time in seclusion had lessened her connection to her culture, Cindy requested to be stationed in Seoul to reconnect with her roots.
