Connection to the Multiverse: Mutantist has a profound connection to the Multiverse and is able to use the energies connected to it to manipulate and use it at will. Though the extent of his power is unknown.
- Dimension Creation: Ever since Molecule Man revealed he can manipulate reality, he has been learning from Nathaniel Richards on his to use his powers efficiently. However, this has been small and so far, he's created a pocket dimension.
- Energy Manipulation: Mutantist can use Multiversal energy at will which can be used to stun, incapacitate or kill.
- Portal Creation: Mutantist can open portals to different realities in the Multiverse as well as open portals to acquire certain items from the Multiverse at will.
- Interdimensional Travel: He can travel between realities.
- Time Travel: While never shown, Mutantist learned he can also move about time unabated but refuses to do so.
- Nigh-Cosmic Awareness: Mutantist is able to instantly know the reality designation of a being or a thing as well as a metaphysical insight to the goings on of the multiverse at large and has an intuitive GPS of how to travel through time & space unimpeded while using her portals to get from place to place across the infinite dimensions.
- Superhuman Speed: Mutantist can run and move at phenomenal speeds, being able to use his powers to outrun speedsters.
- Superhuman Strength: Thompson has incredible strength, being able to punch a hole into a Sentinel when tapping into his abilities.
- Superhuman Durability: He has survived major falls that would have killed any other human being and can withstand attacks from larger beings.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Mutantist is bullet-proof and can adapt to harsh enviroments, albeit he can still be pushed back with enough pressure.
- Telepathic Immunity: While Mutantist's mind can be entered on a surface level, if any telepath attempts to enter his mind and try to access the information where he stores the knowledge of the Multiverse, non-multiversal telepaths will suffer extreme reactions such as blood seizures or even death due to the overload of information.
- Superhuman Longevity

- Multilingual: Mutantist is fluent in English, Wakandan, Mandarin, Russian and German.
- Expert Martial Artist: He was taught expert martial artistry during his time growing up in the Xavier Institute.
- Superior-level Intellect: Due to his connection to the Multiverse, he is able to understand and process large pieces of information. So much so he was able to plan and create a generator using Multiversal energy to power the Freedom Society pocket dimension.
