History
Chase Hunter seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart. When he was fifteen years old, Chase was bitten by a mysterious spider drone. He developed similar powers to that of Spider-Man and decided to follow in his footsteps as the super hero Shadow Spider
Not long afterwards, he was tracked down by Mister Fantastic and Spider-Man, who revealed that they were behind the drone and its release had been an accident. Mister Fantastic wanted to try and depower Hunter, but Spider-Man convinced him to give Hunter a chance, reminding him that Spidey also got his powers at fifteen. During his adventures, Shadow Spider was gifted a Vibranium micro-weave suit and collapsible katana by Royal Black Panther.
Shadow Spider among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift and recruited by War Machine into the Avengers Alliance to oppose the reality's tyrannical ruler: God Emperor Doom.
