History
I see the divide between mutants and humans Erik, and I see you right in the middle of it, driving us further and further apart. I believe in protecting mutantkind from the threats of the world, and now it appears you are one of them.

Early Years
The son of a wealthy nuclear researcher, Dr. Brian Xavier, and his wife, Sharon, Charles' father died in an accident when he was nine years old. Sharon moved to the Xavier's ancestral mansion in Westchester after marrying her late husband's ex-colleague, Dr. Kurt Marko, in hopes of maintaining a well-structured family for Charles, despite her son's objections. However, Dr. Marko had married her for her wealth, and Charles faced problems with his new family when Marko brought his teenage son, Cain, to live in the mansion, as Cain constantly bullied Charles. To make matters worse, Dr. Marko was an alcoholic and abused Sharon, as well as his son Cain. When Charles mutant powers activated he would attempt to use them to alleviate his mothers pain, however tampering with her mind would lead to her death, as she succumbed to alcoholism to cope. In one of Charles darkest moments he would inflict horrific visions in Dr. Marko's mind, blaming him for his mothers death, leading to his step-father to kill himself by driving his car into a tree. Charles would inherit his families money and while he offered to allow Cain to continue living in the mansion Cain refused, blaming Charles for his fathers death, and ran away.
Charles would turn his attention to his studies. A brilliant student, Charles won a scholarship to Oxford University, and began dreaming of forging a world where both mutants and humans could work together and build a better tomorrow. It was here that he would meet Moira MacTaggert, a human with considerable knowledge about mutants, and fellow mutant, Erik Lehnsherr, the trio forging a friendship based on the idea of building towards a better world. Charles and Moira would become lovers over time, and the trio would travel around the world, looking to learn more about the mutant condition. It was during this time that they came to Cairo, Egypt, and encountered Amahl Farouk, the Shadow King, the first malicious mutant that Charles had encountered. While Xavier defeated Farouk in psychic combat Moira was fatally wounded in the collateral damage, only to miraculously recover shortly after. In the aftermath however Moira would leave Charles, claiming that his kindness would lead mutantkind to ruin.
Charles and Erik would continue their journey, though it was becoming apparent that Erik was growing more and more cynical and his views more radical, believing that humans and mutants would never be able to live together in peace. They would eventually came to Israel, where Charles would meet Gabrielle Haller, a woman he would have a brief fling with, and discovered that a young mutant girl had been killed in the city by a local gang of anti-mutant bigots. Erik would seek vengeance, leading to a confrontation between the two as Charles first tried to convince Erik to leave the bigots to face justice, and then tried to physically stop him from killing them. The ensuing fight led to Charles being paralysed by an errant blow and their friendship was forever left in tatters. Charles would stay with Gabrielle in Israel to recover before the two parted on good terms and he returned to the Westchester mansion, determined to make his dream a reality.
Founding the X-Men
Charles continued on his path, determined to work towards a world where mutants and humans could live together, and sought to protect the ever-growing population of mutants by giving them a safe place to learn to use their powers and in turn help other Mutants, the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. Using Cerebro, a tool that could amplify telepathic powers to find other Mutants, Charles would approach them and invite them to the school, with his first class later becoming the X-Men who, sharing in his dream, fought against threats to humans and mutants alike, including Charles' old friend Magneto and his new followers, The Brotherhood, his step-brother Cain, now the mythically powered Juggernaut, and the government-funded Project Wideawake and their mutant hunting machines the Sentinels to build towards a better tomorrow.
His ongoing feud with Magneto would seemingly come to an end when Xavier was forced to shut off Magneto's mind and powers to prevent him from destroying the White House and everyone inside. Xavier would be plunged into feelings of self-doubt, believing that he could have done more to help his old friend see the light. In an effort to help more mutants he opened the doors to the Xavier mansion, welcoming new mutants into the fold. His attempts to improve the reputation of mutants would hit a huge roadblock in the form of Apocalypse, an ancient mutant who sought to cause a series of catastrophic events around the world in order to see who would survive and thrive. Falling short, and having seen both Havok die and Angel turned into the Horseman of Death, Xavier turned to his old enemy Magneto once more.
While Magneto had gotten his mind back he had been unable to unlock his powers, something Xavier granted him on the condition they would be shut off again if Magneto betrayed him. The combined forces of the X-Men and Brotherhood, led by Xavier and Magneto, were enough to defeat Apocalypse and banish him into the time stream. Xavier would later discover that Moira had been present within Apocalypse's headquarters, and that she had assisted in defeating Apocalypse before vanishing. Xavier was confused as to what Moira had been doing with Apocalypse and gave Shadowcat and Moira's daughter Petra his blessing to travel with Wolverine to Japan to investigate a sighting of his former lover.
Xavier would be contacted by Doctor Strange who requested his help contacting his brother, Juggernaut. Juggernaut's connection to the entity Cyttorak proved invaluable in counteracting a cult's attempt to forcibly pull Cyttorak into this world against the deity's wishes. Xavier and Juggernaut worked together to stop this from happening and the ill will between the two step-brothers eased somewhat.
