Charles Culkin was once a wealthy businessman who decided to branch out into crime. Using various contacts he managed to assemble a team of criminals and then mutated them all, including himself into a group of zodiac themed mutants. He then proceeded to start a mercenary organization.

History


Aquarius is an Offbeats villain and leader of yet another incarnation of Zodiac.

Early history

Charles Culkin was born into a rich family and was meant to inherit his family's company someday. When the day arrived, however, he found himself bored with it and began to plot becoming a criminal. He began to use his vast fortune to go into various criminal enterprises such as smuggling and robbery. Still not content he began using some of his underworld contacts to hire eleven villains and have them join him in a large science laboratory. Once there he revealed to them all that he had stolen the technology used by another criminal, Zhuang Shen and had reconfigured it to work differently. He then told them how he planned to make another incarnation of the Zodiac and was going to use the mutation ray to disfigure most of them and give them all superpowers. Not surprisingly the group refused but was told by Charles that they didn't have a choice and then activated the ray, mutating most of them.

Mercenary life

After this his skin turned into water, his eyes turned red and he somehow managed to put a tattoo on himself. He then convinced the group into joining him in becoming mercenaries. However at their first job, which was to rob a bank the Offbeats showed up and easily defeated them. Angered by this they have continuously attacked the Offbeats since.
