Carl Danvers enlisted in the United States Air Force at eighteen and went on to become one of his country's best pilots.
One fateful day, Major Danvers was caught in a Psyche-Magnitron explosion alongside undercover Kree soldier Mahr Vehl, resulting in the combination of her DNA into him which saved his life.
Upon waking up, Carl finds he has gained superhuman powers of strength, speed, flight, and the ability to fire bolts of energy as well as absorption. He used his new abilities to fight crime under the alias of Captain Marvel.
