The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants is a villainous team who are usually depicted as the arch-nemeses of the X-Men. This is the Joint Venture Universe incarnation of the organization.

The Brotherhood consists currently of seven members:
- Bennet du Paris, the team's leader and founder, a psionic powerhouse formerly known as the Mutant Master, but now going by the title of Exodus,
- Frederick J Dukes, a former circus strongman and veteran of Exodus' previous team, Factor Six, who inherited his WWII grandfather's title of Stonewall,
- Bobby Drake, a cryokinetic who became a survivalist after being driven from his hometown, who joined the team under the name of Iceman,
- Marcos Diaz, a runaway with pyrokinesis and photokinesis, known as Eclipse,
- Joanna Cargill, a superhumanly strong, near-bulletproof refugee from Genosha who joined under the name of Frenzy,
- Pietro Maximoff, a speedster who was recruited in Transia after the death of his lover and scattering of his family, also called Quicksilver,
- and lastly, the enigmatic Rita Wayward, driven mad by experimentation at the hands of both Weapon X and the otherworldy Mojo, who was transformed into the six-armed swordswoman and sorceress Spiral.
