Beta Ray Bill is an alien warrior from the planet Korbinite. He briefly gained the powers of Thor when the Thunder God was seemingly killed by invading Korbinite soldiers. Wielding Mjolnir, Bill went with the Lady Sif to avenge Thor, and take down the Korbinite empire, including Mercurio, an evil intergalactic warlord who took over the empire by killing their old leader. After finding that Thor was indeed alive, Beta Ray Bill returned Mjolnir to him, and became the new leader of the Korbinite empire. Later on, after the formation of the Thor Corps, Bill got his own version of Mjolnir created by Loki, so he could always have the Thunder God powers. Later on, he died in battle against Cul, the brother of Odin.
Powers & Abilities
- Mjolnir - Beta Ray Bill wields his own version of Mjolnir, a magical hammer that only those worthy enough can lift.
- Lightning Blasts - Mjolnir allows Bill to summon bolts of lightning to strike his enemies with.
- Control Over Weather - Mjolnir gives Bill total control over the weather, but he only ever seems to use this power to summon thunder storms.
- Flight - Mjolnir allows Bill to fly above the ground.
