Beta Ray Bill was elected the protector of the Korbinite people after they went in to stasis following the destruction of their home planet at the hands of Surtur. This path eventually caused him to cross paths with the Asgardians, who, after discovering his Worthiness, crafted him the hammer Stormbreaker.
Since the formation of the Order of the World Tree and the destruction of the spaceship Korbin II, Bill has gone on to join the Guardians of the Galaxy in order to exact justice against the Order.
