History
Ben Solo seemingly had a similar history as his reboot timeline counterpart. As the son of Leia Skywalker Organa Solo, he inherited the power of his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker. Noticing this Ben was taught by his Uncle Luke to tap into The Force.
Solo's worldview was shattered when he learned that his grandfather had actually turned to the dark side and become the villainous Darth Vader. This disillusionment with his legacy led him to also be influenced by the dark side. Sensing this, Luke contemplated killing him. While he changed his mind, the damage was done, and Ben burned down the school in retaliation. Ben then took on the persona of Kylo Ren, molding himself after his grandfather.
In 34 ABY, Kylo murdered his father. He had hoped this would sever his ties to the light side, but this failed and left his spirt even weaker. This imbalance led him to be defeated by a rookie Rey, whom he also formed a Force-Bond with. The conflict within him and his humiliation at the hands of Rey led him to destroy his helmet in a rage. After he took over the First Order, he had his helmet fixed with sarrassian iron.
Kylo Ren was among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift and joined God Emperor Doom's Lethal Legion. He met Lord Vader, a variant of his grandfather, who took him on as his apprentice. He initially felt a renewed since of direction, until learning past versions of his father and uncle, from 9 ABY, also arrived on Battleisland, causing his inner turmoil to strengthen. To make matters worse, his Force-Bond now connected him to Rey Skywalker, a future version of Rey who knew Ben could be redeemed.

- This character is an adaptation of Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, a character created by Lawrence Kasdan. J.J. Abrams, and Michael Arndt and first appeared in the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. Kylo Ren was first adapted into Marvel comics by Chuck Wendig and Luke Ross, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation #1.
