History

Very well, Yoshioka. Now listen closely, a war is brewing in another heaven and a mighty weapon of theirs shall crash to your very plane of existence. All you have to do is recover the weapon and I shall see to your condition. Fail me and we shall see each other in the next life.

The Beast is an extradimensional entity hailing from Yomi. His origins are lost to history and his true form is lost to a host of other forms throughout his existence. It's known that he gained prominence in Japan due to the Hand's worship of him. Although not much of an actor, the Beast indirectly guides the Hand in their journey of domination.

Before Mighty Defenders

The Beast's history mirrors his mainstream counterpart with virtually no change. The only changes made are clarification to his origins and his position within the Hand.

Powers

• Demonic Physiology: Due to his exposure to large amounts of magic and his very nature, the Beast possesses a plethora of powers related to the supernatural realm. His magic is so strong it actually became the Hand's source of magic for centuries. Without host bodies or in his native realm, he has these powers:

Abilities

The Beast is an expert manipulator and deceiver. Although he rarely manifests himself in the physical realm, once he manifests he shows off an impressive amount of combat skills and amazing usage of all his powers.

Weaknesses

Unless a host body is given, the Beast cannot manifest itself in the real world directly or via possession. People with strong willpower cannot be possessed by the Beast, however. When inhabiting a host body, the Beast cannot use his own powers so he has to rely on whatever power(s) the host has until his influence grows strong enough to take over the host. A good example is when he possessed Daredevil in Shadowland, granting his host the power to breathe fire and increased power.
