You weren't Peter's sidekick, and you're certainly not mine. You're my partner.
History
Bailey Briggs seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart.
He was a resident of the F.E.A.S.T. Building, where he became friends with the Parker Family. After an encounter with Mister Negative, Bailey gained similar powers as Spider-Man. Confining in Peter Parker, he revealed the he was Spider-Man and took Bailey under his wing. Taking the codename Spider-Boy, he went on many adventures with Spider-Man and Peter's successor, Miles Morales.
When Doctor Octopus possessed Peter's body, Otto fired Bailey as he didn't want to endanger a child. Despite the Superior Spider-Man's continued efforts, Bailey kept fighting crime as Spider-Boy. When the Goblin King took over New York City, Bailey was able to convince a retired Miles Morales to return to action.
Otto gave Peter back control of his body in order to defeat Osborn. Using the resources Otto amassed by founding Parker Industries, Peter created Spider-Man Incorporated. Spider-Man recruited Spider-Boy and partnered him with Miles, leaving New York under their protection.
