History
Asteroid M was the artificially made floating fortress designed by Magneto as a sanctuary for mutants against humans. It was however later destroyed by the X-Men.
Reconstruction
2 Years after the destruction of the original Asteroid M; Magneto salvaged everything he could from the first in order to start plans for the next one. It would later be constructed out to be much more larger than the first; as well as composed of Adamantium.
Battle of Gods
Upon the reconstruction of the second Asteroid M; Magneto captured both Mutant X, ForestFire, the X-Men and Brotherhood members and decided the strongest from the weak. It eventually got to Mutant X vs. ForestFire. It eventually led to a tie between them and it created such force that the entire asteroid buckled and cracked in two. Of course both sides escaped the destruction and returned to their original bases of operations.
