A great Greek inventor, Archimedes utilized his intellect to build the Colossus of Rhodes, a massive mechanical construct with which he defended Rhodes against a Kree Sentry, defeating the Sentry, but at the cost of the Colossus.
At some point, he designed a Death Ray (the plan of that weapon later came into Ennilux's possession).
