This article, Anya Corazón (Earth-218215), is property of MysteryScooby. |
Araña. Spanish for spider. It's also my mother's maiden name. Being Araña is my destiny. I was always going to return to the role eventually.
- —Anya Corazón
History
Anya Corazón seemingly had a similar history as her Earth-616 counterpart.
Spider-Man tried to recruit her into Spider-Man Incorporated during its infancy. She declined as she decided to only to be Spider-Girl in emergencies in order to focus on her studies. During one of her battles, her old tattoo mysteriously resurfaced. Spider-Girl went to the Parker Industries Building seeking out Madame Web. Julia revealed that Anya's powers were returning to their true form and offered to help her in her journey.
Anya opted to return to the role of Araña and join Spider-Man Incorporated. She was originally apprehensive of Peter stationing her in her hometown of Mexico City, until he revealed they would be looking for El Muerto, a suspect in her mother's murder.
