History
Armored Avenger
Tony Stark seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart He was a genius inventor involved in the military industrial complex. He was captured by a group of terrorists who wanted him to create weapons for them. With the help of another prisoner, who he later learned was the father of Toni Ho, Stark created his first armor. While Tony was able to escape, his comrade was killed in the process. Changed by his experience, he left the weapons manufacturing business and focused on creating new armors. He vowed to use them for good as the super hero Iron Man.
Iron Man was among the heroes who responded to reports of the Hulk on a rampage. They discovered that he was being manipulated by Loki, who's intention was to lead his brother, Thor, into a trap. Instead, Thor and his new allies banded together and defeated Loki. They decided to form the original Avengers.
Over the years, Tony's trauma led him to alcoholism. Recognizing he had a problem, he decided to go to rehab. He entrusted his longtime friend, James Rhodes, with operating as Iron Man during his leave of absence. When Tony returned, he created a new armor for Rhodes, who became known as War Machine.
When Spider-Man joined the Avengers, Iron Man decided to take him under his wing. He began training him to use a newly created Iron Spider Armor. When Peter ended his membership, he and Tony left on amicable terms. He attempted to return the armor to Tony, but he insisted his former protégée keep it as a gift.
Battleworld
Iron Man was among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift and recruited by War Machine into the newest incarnation of the Avengers to oppose the reality's tyrannical ruler: God Emperor Doom. He was made the leader of the Avengers Alliance's elite strike force, the Mighty Avengers.

During this time, Iron Man met the Iron Patriot, who was actually Toni Ho. He initially thought she was a fan, only to learn she actually built her armor to spite him. Toni initially blamed Tony for her father's death, but came to soften up to him after Tony revealed he created Iron Man to atone for his sacrifice and live up to her father's legacy.
Possible Future
In a possible future, a super-villain ravaged Iron Man's city. Spider-Man faced off against the villain and his minions, losing his hand in the process. His enemy threw Peter's wife off a bridge, but she was luckily saved by Iron Man. With the villain going into hiding, Peter decided he couldn't put his family at risk anymore and retired. Twelve years later, Peter's son, Ben, discovered his powers and his father's Spider-Suits, deciding to become the next Spider-Man.
Ben drew the attention of his father's old nemesis, who sent his minions after him. Discovering his secret identity, he revealed that his true target all along was Peter himself and kidnapped him. Seeking aid, Ben and his partner sought out Tony Stark. Donning the Iron Man Armor, the trio were able to save Peter and defeat the enemy for good. After embracing his heritage, Tony decided to create an upgraded suit to Ben.
