-- Iron Man (Tony Stark)

Early Years

Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark was born on Long Island in the mid to late 1970s, he was the son of genius Howard Stark. After his tragically losing his parents in a car collision, Tony subsequently inherited his father's legacy that was the renowned Stark Industries, an unparalleled mega-conglomerate which mostly manufactured weapons for the United States military under Tony's directorship. Growing up as a brash but brilliant inventor, Stark was self-described as a genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist. With his wealth and exceptional technical knowledge, Stark was one of the world's most intelligent and powerful men, and enjoyed the playboy lifestyle for many years with his friends and subordinates, especially his loyal best friend and bodyguard Happy Hogan.

During a conflict in Afghanistan, Stark was captured by terrorists and, with a piece of shrapnel in his heart, was about to die. Constructing a suit of iron armor that would also help with his recovery (in which he got the idea from thinking about his and his father's earliest designs of armored suits they were planning to build one day), Stark broke out of captivity and journeyed back home to the United States where he built an advanced suit of armor and became the now famous superhero, Iron Man. Fresh off from defeating enemies all over the world, Stark became a consultant to Nick Fury's peacekeeping intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D., hiring super-powered individuals to join the classified contract known as the Avengers Initiative.

The Chitauri Conflict

Living as the world-renowned superhero Iron Man, Stark eventually was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. when he was in a date with his long-time assistant and love interest Pepper Potts, whom he started to had a relationship with for a while then, and joined the Avengers and helped defeat the Chitauri and the diabolical Loki during the Battle of New York.

Before the Invasion, Iron Man seemed to have the same history with his Earth-61615 counterpart, up until the diabolical Asgardian God of Mischief Loki was able to fool the successfully the Avengers and the rest of Earth's mightiest heroes like him, during the significant Battle of New York into fighting his mirage or illusion, while the villain continues to his to spread the chaos caused by his single-minded and bloodthirsty army coming through the wormhole created by the Tesseract. As a devastating consequence to his effective strategy, the invasion of the timeline itself was prolonged for more than a few weeks, longer than it was supposed to be.

Seeing as the situation have gotten even worse than before, the Iron Avenger and the rest of heroes within the reaches of New York have no other choice but to help the citizens of every city in the country as they continue defending them from the incoming attacks. During the whole week of the massive Chitauran fleet's assault on North America, Tony and the Avengers had the help of New York City's heroic street vigilantes who risked their very lives in helping the people of Manhattan in evacuating them into safety from the incoming arrivals of more extraterrestrial ships, throughout the wide cities of New York. Thankfully, the extended conflict itself was miraculously averted after the noble sacrifice of the Avengers' associate Ultron, in which he successfully destroyed both the cosmic stone inside the Scepter after using it to close the portal, along with somehow destroying the Tesseract afterwards, and thus the rest of the heroes was able to decimate what was left of the alien threat, foiling their attempted invasion of Earth.

Secret War on Hydra

Days after the end of the Chitauri Conflict, Tony and his teammate Hank Pym successfully accessed the secret archives stored by Ultron right before his death, revealing to all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s deepest, darkest secrets, including the fact that the organization had been the host of the ancient paramilitary organization known as Hydra. Along with it, the files themselves were timely programmed to be released all over the internet in the next fifty-four hours, much to the two's shocked and surprised reactions, with Pym pressured to figure out how to stop it, while Stark was last seen confronting Fury inside his office, furiously questioning him what the files were about, much to Fury's sincere confusion as to what he meant which led to S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers discovering how Hydra has been a parasite inside S.H.I.E.L.D. since the latter's formation.

Joining Captain America and his team, Tony was tasked and obligated to take the Hydra down as both Stark and Iron Man and find out more truth behind its survival within only two days as they possibly could, before all of it's deepest secrets, along with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s clandestine schemes and projects, would be dragged as well, and would be also exposed to the entire world. The overall outcome of their secret battle was a victory after defeating Hydra's new leader Arnim Zola, but the Madbomb incident on New Jersey which Zola had caused has only brought a staggering amount of casualties which the heroes had failed to saved as hundreds to almost thousands of citizens have succumbed to the viral bioweapon and died with no cure to revert them back to normalcy in time.

The conflict took a severe and irreversible toll to almost everyone who was involved and witnessed it which caused the disbandment of the Avengers, to the point that Tony himself was personally devastated that he resorted into a destructive habit of alcoholism and substance abuse once more to try and cope with his recurring PTSD as it worsened in his participation during the war against Hydra. Pepper Potts was by his side despite him taking her support for granted, but ended up painfully leaving him as she couldn't go helping him, seeing enough how he has been internally suffering. Tony went on with his superhero career and life as CEO of Stark Industries without much falter as he did in his usual days, only to realize how much he has become alone and lonelier when he harshly swayed his loved ones the moment he needed them the most.

S.H.I.E.L.D. to S.W.O.R.D.

In spite of having to spend his grief and trauma cowering in drunkenness and debauchery, Tony miraculously had the persistent support his remaining friends and allies to motivate him in getting better and moving on from the horrors that the Chitauri Conflict had inflicted on him for years, and used it to encourage himself carry through his vision of building a better world that can stand against the mightiest of titans across the cosmos, even if there were no longer heroes to defend its denizens. Together with his most unlikeable ally yet efficient Nick Fury and his extragalactic friend/fling that was the cosmic agent Abigail Brand along with volunteers consisting of members from the defunct S.H.I.E.L.D. (e.g. former Fantastic Four members Sue Storm and Ben Grimm), Tony co-founded the Sentient World Observation and Response Department—conveniently abbreviated as S.W.O.R.D.—from the ashes of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a newer way of dealing with extraterrestrial threats to world security. In the following years, the organization expanded by building bases starting from the planet's orbit before reaching areas beyond the Earth's solar system as part of the agency's mission and vision to protect Earth in the process of establishing diplomacy with intergalactic governments which Brand had pre-existing connections with in the past.
