History
Tony Stark is one of the last Avengers standing in the reality of Earth-3116.Tony was ordered by Captain America to take the Avengers kids away to the Arctic Circle so Ultron wouldn't have them, as Cap was aware that the Avengers were going to lose. Tony raised all of the kids in the Arctic except Francis who was raised with the Scavengers. As the self proclaimed creator of Ultron, Tony has a lot of self-guilt, and is trying to rectify his mistake one day at a time.
Rebuilding
Tony is like the Avengers only sort of parental guidance and so he does his best to make sure the heroes never try and do too much. Yet still he understands the Avengers importance to the world, that is why when James, Francis, and Pym came back from there mission in France, Tony first shared the information about a possible hostile takeover from Madripoor.
He was the one to eventually explain to the heroes what they were possibly dealing with before sending them on a mission to the Savage Lands to find the Wolverine.
Tony is a constant in almost every team mission whether he's on comms directing the team or planning the missions out himself, in many occurences he's the reason why the team might go somewhere or stay back and wait.
During the rebuild Tony and Pym's relationship began to deteriorate starting with Pym figuring out that Atlantis and Atlanteans exist.[1]
Knowing that Tony knew these things and didn't say anything really mad Pym begin to question his trust for Tony. And things really began to take a turn for the worse when Pym eventually found out how his parents really were, and that his father had created Ultron. Not Tony.[2]
Throughout the entire rebuild Tony had been a driving force upgrading the Scavengers, making constant peace with the Government and helping ensure World Safety. When Franklin Richards restored most of the world, Tony was the most shocked, struggling to believe that something like that was possible.[3]
Annihilation
Tony played a small role in the Annihilaton event. He helped Riri and the others devise their plan to stop Annihilus' army from coming to Earth, and he worked on the Iron Legion. He also controleld the Iron Legion during the fight. After Annihilus was defeated Tony decided to take a step back along with a couple of others, citing his old age as a reason why. At the moment he is content with just being an inventor, though he will help the team if they really need it. [4]
